10| Brother's call

1583 Words
Rosie sat silently beside Dylan on the couch, and she slowly caressed his chest as she rested her head back on his chest. After a while of silence between them, as the television continued speaking in the living room, Rosie asked Dylan, "So what are you saying about the money, babe? Please, I really need it to help my brother..." Dylan was silent, as the money Rosie was requesting from him was too much. But as he didn't want to have any issues with Rosie, he kissed her forehead as she looked up at his face. He told her, "I will give it to you tomorrow morning and send it into your account. Are you happy now?" "Yes, Dylan! I love you so much, Dylan!" Rosie squealed as she immediately sealed her lips on Dylan's lips, and she kissed him hungrily while her left hand slid downward into the white towel and to his shaft, to caress him there too. Rosie brought out Dylan's shaft, and she bent down and pleasured it with her mouth, sucking him while Dylan was on cloud nine as they made sweet love again in the living room. Jessica paced about in her living room, as it was already past 10 PM at night. Yet her husband of five years wasn't yet home. She stood in the living room and was dressed in a long blue gown. As she sobbed, she kept on thinking about what she would do. "What did I ever do wrong to Dylan? Why has he changed so much like this? I cannot agree to sign that divorce paper so that he won't go out and bring his cheap slut here." Jessica shook her head in pain, and just then, her mobile phone rang again. Staring at the caller's name, Jessica saw that it was her eldest brother Remy Albert calling her. She walked up to the couch and sat on it, trying not to sniffle to avoid Remy picking up the hint in her voice that she was sad. Jessica quickly wiped off her teary eyes and sniffed for the last time. She finally answered Remy's call on her phone but on the second ring. "Hello, babe sis. Are you still awake? I hope I’m not disturbing you and your husband's fun moment?" Remy asked Jessica playfully, and she laughed and told him, "No, brother. You're not disturbing us. Why are you calling me so late?" The phone call went silent. Jessica silently prayed in her heart that Remy hadn't noticed that she was sad, but Remy asked her, "What's wrong, sister? You're not sounding happy to me on the call. What's going on? Give Dylan the phone; let me speak to him, as I have been calling him since morning, but he is not picking up my calls before I finally decided to call you directly." Jessica knew at that moment that she couldn't lie to her eldest brother again, as Remy would be very angry with her if he ever got to discover that she lied to him all because of her love for Dylan. Jessica said, "Dylan is not yet at home, brother." "What? By this time? Where did Dylan go to, sister? I am aware that DY Mobile closes by 5 PM. Tell me, sister. Are you and Dylan having any issues at home?" Remy inquired, but Jessica's tears rolled freely down her cheeks as she sniffled and replied, "No." "Sister, don't lie to me. If you both are not having problems, then where could Dylan be at this time of night and not yet home with you? I never liked Dylan, but you were so blinded to see that you can take a man out of poverty, but you cannot take his poverty mentality away from him. Dylan wouldn't love you as you think all because we helped him. I'm so pissed off right now." "Calm down, brother. Dylan is just..." "Don't tell me all that, sister. I'm not a kid not to know when the table turns upside down. Why won't he be picking up my phone calls since morning, even until this night that I called him again? Yet he doesn't want to answer me. Tell me the truth, sis; what's going on?" Remy inquired again, but Jessica sniffed and replied, "Nothing, brother. Dylan and I are cool; we are just having a little misunderstanding because he complained that I'm too fat now..." "You're what? Come again?" Remy asked. Jessica sniffed and told him, "Dylan is complaining that I'm too fat for him to handle..." "And what, sister? Is he crazy? Doesn't Dylan know that he's the cause? Or were you fat like that before he married you?" Remy was losing his temper, as he was at home in their family mansion, but luckily not with his parents, as he was alone with his fiancée in his sitting room. He had come home with her to introduce her to his parents and ahead of their glamorous wedding. Sharon tried to calm Remy down as she sat beside him on the couch. She whispered to him, "Calm down, babe..." "Don't tell me to calm down, Jessica. Tomorrow morning I will be in your house, and Dylan should have a better explanation for all this crap. Anyway, I'm calling you regarding my marriage with Sharon, which I spoke to you about before. The wedding date is next two weeks Saturday," Remy told Jessica over the call, and she replied to him, "That's fine, brother. I will be there." "Okay, sister. I will come to visit you tomorrow to know exactly what's going on. Please take care of yourself as I don't want anything wrong to happen to you, okay?" Remy told Jessica, as he was also a very fair-complexioned man, just like Jessica, and they all resembled each other as they resembled their father too. "Alright, big bro. Send my regards to your fiancée," Jessica replied. Remy said, "She's here with me already, but not to worry. She has heard your response, and I don't want you stressing much. So go to bed and rest. When Dylan returns home, let me know through a text message, alright?" "Okay, brother. Bye and goodnight." Jessica finally ended the phone call with her eldest brother, knowing that her elder brothers didn't like Dylan since the day she and Dylan had dated in the past. Remy had a personal hatred for poor men, as he saw them as lazy and gold diggers. Remy kept saying that Dylan wouldn't truly love her and that Dylan was only after their family wealth. Remy claimed that after Dylan had successfully scammed them of the shares that he needed to establish himself, Dylan would change. Jessica went to lock up the living room door entrance, as she had waited for Dylan to return home. Yet it was already past 11 PM at midnight, and there was no sign or trace that Dylan would be coming home again. With a broken heart, Jessica prayed in her heart for nothing bad to happen to her husband. She proceeded and went back upstairs to their master bedroom to sleep alone, continuing to pray in her heart that when Dylan arrived home the following day, he wouldn't still be thinking of divorcing her, and that he would get back to his senses and realize that she was his wife and that she genuinely loved him. Jessica walked up to the king-size bed in the luxury bedroom, and she lay on the bed to sleep. But she was not feeling well, as she felt sick and felt her stomach tightening into a knot as if she wanted to vomit. Jessica stood up from the bed quickly and rushed into their restroom to vomit all the food that she had eaten since the afternoon. All that was left in her stomach, and she continued to vomit. She vomited three times, and after her body calmed, she washed her face as she grew worried about what could be wrong with her. She flushed down the vomit from the restroom sink, and she went back into their bedroom to sleep, knowing that Dylan wouldn't be home again. She covered herself up with the duvet. --- Dylan woke up the following morning on Rosie's bed and went into her bathroom to bathe. He stripped naked and prepared to go home, as he didn't have any new clothes with him in Rosie's house, and his old suit was dirty. He stepped out of the bathroom after he was done with his bath. Rosie was already awake on the bed, and she sat up and smiled at him sweetly. "Good morning, babe," Rosie greeted Dylan first, and he approached her on the bed and kissed her softly on her lips. He asked, "How was your night?" Pulling his trousers out to wear them properly, Rosie replied to him, "Good." "And our baby?" Dylan asked about the pregnancy, and Rosie smiled and replied, "Good." "Hmm." Dylan wore his black suit and buttoned up his sleeves. He said to Rosie, "I have to reach home now, so that I can change my suit and wear something new to prevent me from having body odor." "I understand," Rosie replied, and Dylan kissed her again on her lips as she was standing in front of him. Rosie helped Dylan button up his suit jacket, and she asked him, "Dy, how about the money that I asked you about last night, babe?"
