I knew how badly Lisa could destroy the reputation of Ever After Weddings, even if she didn’t have any evidence to back up her claims. She was the daughter of the Alpha King and a very influential socialite. Everyone believed her word like the gospel.
I didn’t care what other people thought of me, but I couldn’t let her destroy all of Lily’s hard work. Lily deserved better than that, especially after everything that she had done for me. She was a good person, as were all the people who worked at Every After Weddings, and none of them deserved to have their reputations dragged through mud along with mine.
As much as it made my heart ache, I knew what I had to do.
