I avoided Eliza and Nikolas when I returned to Eliza’s house, alone, and rushed up to the bedroom that Eliza had given me. I stayed there the rest of the night, except when I needed to use the restroom, and pretended to be too tired to come back out. I didn’t want to take the risk of running into Andrew, nor did I want to explain to Eliza and Nikolas why I had returned without him; it would just be too embarrassing. * * * That night, I dreamt that Andrew appeared in my room. The door did not open, and no sound accompanied his entry. He merely appeared there, in the middle of the room.
