C017 Unkillable

After some time as I regained my composure and the adrenaline rush, I slowly returned back to my meditative state of mind. It was the visions and how I reenacted in them was totally within my control. How I wanted to kick and strike with my legs and arms and also wielding the keris was all up to my capabilities. Once I had successfully able to visualise and acted in my meditative state of mind, I am sure I would be able to achieve in real life...! I squinted my eyes as I slowly opened them, half expecting to see more opponents jumping towards me to avenge its fallen comrades. My back was covered in sweat and beads of perspiration dripped from my forehead. I slowly wiped the perspiration that covered my face with the back of my hand. "Fuyoooh...! It was intense! I felt as though I was in a real battle!" I slowly stood up after the vortex in the centre of my forehead subsided and gingerly walked and made my way towards the old man. "Master I had visions of hand to hand unarmed and armed combat with two opponents." "I did not manage to kill both of them at first, but I did somehow be able to land a few kicks and punches to both of the opponents." "I think I had severely injured them at close proximity," I exclaimed excitedly like a kid who had gotten what he had wished for Christmas...! "Keris is good now. Full of power. It can kill spirits and evil. No harm towards living thing." explained the old man and I was suddenly gripped with a frown look. "What's the use of this weapon if it cannot kill someone or something?!? If it only harms evil spirits, then would I be called a ghostbuster instead?!" I thought to myself inwardly as I immediately unsheathed the keris and thrust into the thigh of a person closest to me. *STAB* *ZZRRIIPP* The sound of the keris penetrating the thin cloth of the pants the person closest to me was wearing ripped through the verandah of the old man's house. "OOII...OOII... OIIIII... WHAT THE FARK ARE DOING!!?? YOU DUMB FARK!!! YOU LITTLE PIECE OF SHIT...!!!" Ding screamed out in horror and surprise as he was, unfortunately, sitting closest to me. The keris that was held like a dagger was thrust with full force and it penetrated deep till it reaches the hilt into Ding's unprotected thigh. He looked at me pale-faced with eyes as big as a chicken's egg and gripped the front of my too in wild surprise, shock and anger with both of his shivering hands. He looked as if he was going to strike me without notice...! I slowly withdrew the keris out from Ding's thigh. "ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR FARKING MIND...?!" Ding screamed in exasperation as he shouted as the blade of the keris slowly was extracted from his thigh and was grinding his teeth together. He eyed me with total terror and surprise! The rest of the brothers also stated at what I had done and was screaming at the top of their lungs and tried to grab the keris out of my hand but the old man stopped the other two brothers. After the keris was totally extricated from his punctured thigh, Ding looked at the state of his entry wound that had been penetrated by the keris earlier, half expecting a large open wound that needs almost immediate attention. "HOY..! There is no blood and mot even a single scratch except for my torn pants...! WHAT THE FARK HAD JUST HAPPENED?!?!" Ding exclaimed loudly while showing his thigh-high up to the rest of the brothers. Except for a small tear on his pants indicating the entry made by the keris earlier, his skin and thigh were perfectly unscathed. There was not a drop of blood nor was it a scratch at all! "YOU CRAZY LITTLE FARKER! YOU SCARED THE HELL OUT OF ME, YOU LITTLE PIECE OF s**t, YOU! DON'T YOU DARE COME NEAR ME WITH THAT THING ANYMORE...!!" Ding screamed hysterically and was pointing his fingers at the keris I was holding and quickly scooted back and hid behind Cheng. "WHOA... So this is the keris that was mentioned by the old man saying that this keris will not harm another living thing. A keris that could never kill...!" Cheng remarked with a wild astonishment look in his eyes while patting and consoling Ding not to be such a crybaby. Cheng knew that Ding would suffer from some psychological setback as the latter kept looking at the keris that lay beside me, placed idly beside me in its sheath. Cheng gave me thumbs and nodded his head in approval to the little unexpected experiment that I had performed on his second brother. "Haiyoo... Come on, don't cry anymore. Be a good boy ok? Look, I will never hurt you again, alright?" I consoled Ding while spreading my hands. I knew that if I asked his permission, I would be refused flatly and no one would be my sacrificial lamb for this experiment. Hahaha. Also, I just made a wild guess that since the keris was mentioned not able to harm humans, so the next following step is to try it on an unsuspected someone. And that someone happened to be poor old Ding. "Still... Don't you dare come near me and try it on me again!" Ding cried out loud and sobbed as he hugged Cheng from behind and hid his sorrowful and tear-stained face away. "I am not your little guinea pig you know nor I am a pig at all. Don't expect me to be your experiential so just again, do you hear me? Next time, just go and poke yourself la or you can poke Ani all night long...!!" Ding sobbed while Eun can't help but stroke Ding's head just like he was doing to the merchant's horse the other day. I guessed Ding would have some nightmare of me brandishing the keris like a dagger and stalking him wherever he goes like an Assassin after a prey. Alright, so enough narration about the keris that could never kill. =*= "Old Master, I wished to sincerely thank you from the bottom of my heart for this meeting that had been truly been most beneficial to me." "You had shown me the way of the Opening Chi and helped me to open the Third Eye that I had no idea before this." "Also, for the way that had you had shown me on how to perform the cleansing of the keris weekly as well as the way that I should be upgrading myself spiritually until I surpassed the level of Opening Chi." "Thank you once again, old Master." I bowed humbly to the old man and given him my heartfelt appreciation. The other brothers kowtowed instead to the old Master. "Tchick... Talk you many many. Little actions. Enough. Me sleep. Your talk makes me giddy." With that, the old6 Master waved us off and he straight went into his house, leaving us at the verandah. "Hey, Ding. Sorry about just now, alright when I stabbed you with the keris. It's one of the ways for you to prove your bravery to your brothers, you know." "How else could you face off with the enemies that I had earlier faced too..." Ding eyed me with suspicion before he finally spoke up and I was surprised at his answer, "No problem bro. At least you should give me some heads up in the future." "You know, I have a rather weak heart and anything that pops up at me suddenly would give me a heart attack." "What are we gonna have for lunch ya? It's already past midday and the Old Master didn't even mention that he would be inviting us for lunch either," Eun highlighted to us as he clutched at his tummy indicating that he was famished as he had skipped breakfast earlier in the morning or simply he had a tummy ache that he needs to release it into the bushes nearby. "How about we asked if they could spare us a baked bread or something? There's a stall at the entrance of this settlement right? Let's ask the owner..." Cheng pointed out while he showed to the direction of the stall and gestured us to follow him. =*= "Auntie, we are from Bamboo Village and was wondering if you could spare us a piece of bread or anything to fill our tummy before we set out on our journey since we came here to visit the Master?" In a horror and twisted version: "What Master? Do you even realize that he has been dead for so long...?" "Look behind you then!" The Auntie replied with a strange quivering tone in her voice. We looked behind from where we had our meeting earlier with the Old Master and saw a rather dilapidated house instead. Abandoned for many years, the state of the house was in total disrepair. It seemed that the house was abandoned a long time ago and was simply left to rot by itself. The windows were broken and supported precariously by its hinges, and the gazebo that we were sitting there before was so broken down that half of its roof had collapsed down beyond repair. We stared at each other with eyes as big as turtle eggs and with our jaws dropping. We were certain that we were talking to a living old man a few hours ago and the gazebo and house were still in perfect condition! Meanwhile... In a twisted version: "Muuuaaa... Hahahaa... Haaaaaa" the Auntie suddenly laughed out hard and threw her head back! The head snapped and was twisted at a very awkward angle. She then pulled her hair and adjusted her twisted head forwards and shrieked...! Her horrendous shriek made us jump out of our skins! The corners of her mouth suddenly stretched and tore up until it reaches her ears. Her teeth suddenly grew deformed and it was so grotesque that it reminded the three brothers of the angler fish with the same set of teeth right on the woman's face...! She continued shrieking in a hair raising manner and even I am writing this gave me goosebumps all over! Her eyes that seemed normal earlier on popped out from its socket and dangled by its optic nerves halfway across the face like a pendulum...! She threw her arms up in the air and the sudden force seemed to dislocate both her shoulder blades. The crackling sounds of the bones breaking were distinctive as she slowly stretched her legs, her arms and her body to an almost three meters tall deformed monster...! She had exposed sharp spines emerging from her back and was tearing up her clothes before finally morphing in front of us as a kind of beast too horrifying beyond words and recognition... Wuwuwu... However... In the actual version: The owner of the stall looked at the four of us with pity and took out 4 pieces of dough stick bread. "This is all I have since I have traded most of it since the morning." "Never mind, you can have all these. It's your gift from the Heavens. If you have something to give back I can accept. If not let the Gods repay me for the kindness." We thanked the Auntie profusely and even though she saw us having nothing to give in return, she just said those words as a figure of speech. She may have made a loss but her thoughts of the Gods repaying her with another form of rewards were more than enough. We gladly took the dough sticks and munched while we make our way out of the settlement, back to the path we had arrived. The sun was setting when we made our way out of New Hope Village and was sure that we would not be able to reach Stone Village before dark. "Should we rest in the next settlement? You know that it's not safe to walk after dark in this region and we do not have any supplies and also nothing to shine our way back." I advised with my hands spread open and the brothers looked at me and agreed. Somehow we have no idea on how long we would reach our town and the best bet would be for us to reach the following settlement instead. "We might as well head to the next settlement. I know someone there in Stone Village that could accommodate us with a place to rest our weary body." Eun remarked as he made a thumbs up and walked ahead of the group leading the way. The sun was dipping over the horizons as the sky turned reddish-orange. So we walked hurriedly to Stone Village as fast as we could as once sundown, the whole area would be plunged in total darkness and God knows what they will encounter from the depth of the forests. Besides, there's no moon tonight. If they had come to bring me to meet the Old Master a few nights ago, we would be able to have the moonlight to guide our way back. =*= Dear friends, if you spot any errors, please leave your comments in the paragraphs or the chapter section.
