Alpha Evon avoided eye contact with me at the mention of his mother and it even made me curious to know what really happened to her. Was she murdered too or did something else happen? Alpha Evon’s story hung in the air. I could see the pain in his eyes but it seemed like he was trying to hide it. This was the first time that I had seen him like that. Was it the story of his father who was murdered or the story of his mother which he didn't want to talk about? One thing was for sure, whatever happened in the past hurt him and I could understand perfectly because this was an issue pertaining to family. But just as I thought the moment would linger, his expression hardened and that was when he turned to look at me. I don't know what it was, but I felt my heart skip a beat when he did. This
