As I stepped into the dining room, a wave of unease washed over me. The large room was elegantly appointed, with a long wooden table dominating the center, surrounded by high-backed chairs. Seated around it were six people, all of whom I assumed to be Pack members. They were talking quietly among themselves, but the moment I entered, their conversations halted, and all eyes turned toward me. At the head of the table sat Alpha Evon, his gaze sharp and assessing. I think he was impressed with my choice of outfit. It wasn't like it was originally my choice anyways, it was Kayla's and I don't know, for some reason, it felt good to know that he liked it.
