“Carter, it's not that bad,” Joey said as he leaned against the wall of her room. He looked sad but his tone was light. “We can call and talk and I'm allowed to visit you anytime. We can FaceTime and even write letters like old people.” Normally, Carter would have laughed but she just ignored him and continued to pack all of her things. It had been two days, and she and Joey had gone back home so Carter could pack and move into her new pack. Her father had been thrilled at the news but not at her leaving. He hadn't spoken much since she told him. Dawn had also gone back to her own pack to pack her bags. Lucas and Jess would meet them back at their new pack house, when they would arrive in a few hours. Through the walls and in the halls, Carter heard people moving in and people moving out.
