(Caspian POV)
Her heart was pounding so damn hard. Her face was a hard blush as she stared at the ground.
My hands were sweating and I can't help but get nervous around her.
The way she influences me just by a light touch of skin is beyond describable. The way she makes me shiver and feel like fireworks bursting around me is beyond describable.
And the kiss? Oh my god, the kiss. We actually kissed and I am still trying to process it.
I looked at her and she was blushing even harder. Her heart beat started to race more and she took a gulp and shivered.
"What are you thinking?" I asked as her head snapped to me.
"Nothing" she murmured nervously but I knew what she was thinking.
"Really now?" I asked as she stared at me. She knew I knew what she was thinking and it made her even more flushed.
"Ummm" she hummed averting her eyes from mine. I didn’t like that so I put my hand on her chin and made her look back at me.
"You are flushed," I said, my voice low.
"Must be because I was tired" she said in a panic as she moved back and gave a nervous laugh.
"I always get flushed when I am tired," she said again as if to reassure me.
"And hungry. Yea I am hungry" she continued as I stared at her with an amused smile.
"I am sure Adella prepared everything," I said as she nodded and moved back.
"Let's go then" she murmured with a small but beautiful smile.
As we made down the stairs we were met with Abel who grinned at us.
From his excited expression, I knew he heard everything.
"I was going to come and call you. Dinner is ready" he said as I nod.
We sat on the table with me on the head and my mate on my right.
Abel went to the kitchen and after some time, came back with Adella carrying the main dish.
"Dinner is served," she said with a smile as she opened the lid.
"I have never seen anything like that. But I love the smell arousing from it" my mate said taking a deep breath as I smile.
Of course, she doesn't know. It's a dish from my land and my favorite dish. Adella exactly knew how to work things out.
"Aren't you both sitting?" Ashley asked as Adella served food.
"No. This is your date. We don't want to ruin your moment" she replied as my mate blushed.
After they serve our food and poured some champagne we were left alone.
I waited as she took a bite of the meat. Her eyes widen and she looked at the dish in shock before looking at me.
"This is delicious," she said as I grinned and nodded.
"I know right," I said and finally started to dig in feeling satisfied with my mate's happiness.
"What is it?" she asked as she took another bite.
"A secret recipe from our family tradition," I said as she pouted.
"You could tell me the name because once I finished it I will miss it," she said laughing.
"Well you can always come here for more," I said with a wink as she smiled. Before she could reply I leaned in, my face closes to her ear.
"Besides I am a wonderful chef and also specialized in making foods like this. I could make for you and only you" I said and almost immediately I could hear her increase in heartbeat.
"Umm... I... thank you" she said as I smiled and nod. She immediately looked at her food before starting to stuff it inside her mouth.
My goal was simple. To give her enough food and make her happy. When I saw the amount of food she took on lunch I was not satisfied.
If she took that on a normal basis I wouldn’t have minded much but she worked hard on the beach. Being a dragon I have a lot of energy inside me. Even so, the modeling made me tired and hungry.
If a higher dragon like me was tired, how much will be a human? Besides she is not at all fat! If I have to categorize, I would call her perfect.
Once we finish our food she kept staring at the plate.
"What is it?" I asked as she looked at me frowning.
"Well. The delicious food along with our talk made me forget how much I should eat." She said as I sighed.
"Does it matter how much you eat? You are not fat or anything. You are perfect and beautiful" I said as she stared at me.
"Thank you. It is the first time someone told me that" she said with a genuine smile making me frown.
First time?
"Well, do you want to go for a walk? I have a beautiful garden" I said as she looked at me and smiled.
"I love to," she said as I guide her to the backyard. We walked on the pathway and she looked beautiful as the moonlight shone in her face.
"This place is beautiful beyond anything," she said as she skipped and walked forward. I stopped and watched as she walked to the bunch of orchids and looked at me.
"Do you want to see something?" I asked as she looked at me and nod. I put my hand behind my body and snapped my fingers initiating my energy.
A second later, a bunch of fireflies came out making her gasp and scream in excitement.
I took a deep breath as my heart skipped a beat. She was as beautiful as she looked at me with a bright smile.
"Oh my god! This is beautiful! How did you do that?!" she asked as I smiled.
"Magic," I said as she laughed and then looked around.
"Quick quick. Here take a photo of me" she said as she handed me her phone.
I looked at the phone and then at her.
"Well take one!" she said as she raised her right hand and stood in a pose.
I raised the phone and stared at the many buttons. Many had something written over it but going with instinct I pressed the big white one. The phone made a click sound before it formed into a photo.
"Let me see," she said as she looked at it.
"Ohhh this is amazing. You are a natural photographer." She said as I smiled.
Thank the lord all mighty.
I swear I need to study more about human and their technologies.
"Let's take a selfie," she said as my eyes widen.
Selfie?
She immediately came real close to me. She reached up to my height and I quickly caught her waist as she was about to fall.
"You ok?" I asked as she laughed and nod.
"Yea... Sorry. Was trying to reach your height" she said as I nod.
She raised her hand far in the air and took both our photos.
"I will send this to you," she said as I nod. She then looked at her phone making her eyes wide.
"Oh my! It's already 10?! We should go soon" she said as I shrug.
"The shooting is at 10 tomorrow so you only need to wake up at 8 or even 9," I said as she frowned.
"I need to wake up at 6 and work out," she said making me sigh.
"Why are you so obsessed with it," I asked but then shut my mouth.
Shit! Stupid brain!
I looked at her as she glared at me.
"I have to, ok?! I don't have a choice. If she sees I gained weight, she will make me go on starving" she said murmuring in the end. My eyes widen as I looked at her.
She told it in a very low volume and if I were just a human I wouldn’t have heard that.
"Who would starve you?" I asked as she looked at me shocked.
"No one!" she immediately replies, her heart beating faster.
"Why are you lying, my beautiful angel," I said as I moved closer to her. She stared into my eyes and I released my powers. My eyes glowed gold as I tried to use an enchantment spell on her.
Who would make my beautiful mate go into starvation?
But as I try to start my magic I was cut off almost immediately. Ashley was cut out of trace and I turned around glaring at Abel.
"You will be late. I will drive you back" he said as he walked back.
"Oh right. Let me go get my bag" she said before she ran inside.
"Why would you do that?" I asked as Abel let out a sigh.
"It is not right to enter into a person's mind without permission. She is your mate. Gain her trust. She is bound to tell you at one point in time" he said as I sighed.
As much as I don't like it. He is right.
"Alright let's go," I said as he nodded and bowed down.
Going back to the hotel, we traveled in awkward silence.
Ashley fell asleep leaning on the window and I frowned as her head keeps hitting the glass.
"She will get a sour neck if she sleeps like that" Abel said looking at the mirror as I nod.
I took her head and rest it on my shoulder and within a few minutes she adjusted herself, her hands snaked around my arms.
I smiled and leaning my head over her sparks overflowing around us.
