Elijah POV The pain in my head seared through, creating pressure that made which consequences made the pain worse by ten times. I slipped in and out of consciousness, each time attempting to wake up and then passing out again in mere seconds. Voices were all around me in the world of blur and haze, but I couldn’t open my eyes, rocking between dreamland and reality. I couldn’t move any part of my body, the dose of the drug higher each time they injected it and I could only scream and flail in my head. When I finally came to, regained my consciousness that was still hazy, it was some time in the morning, the rays of pale, winter sunlight entering through the curtains.
