We pulled into the backyard, the driver turning off the engine to the car and hopping out to open the door for us. It was a miracle how strongly I was continuing to walk onwards, with my whole body aching and the parts he gripped growing numb from the slight pain. When the adrenaline stopped coursing through my system, everything came crashing down. I had fought off a bulky man who not only knew how to handle his victims, but had the skill to kill them in any second he wished. I realized I was lucky soon after, still alive and feeling the consequences of his attack. Thankfully, my numbness went unnoticed by the fidgeting man that sat beside me, now walking into the gigantic house.
