It had been five days since Madeleine had been in touch with Brutch. All she knew was that he went to have an exclusive meeting with Dr Gabriel Molimo regarding the new symptoms that had recently been reported in newly infected patients. She knew nothing about their trip to Walikale.
Symptoms observed in new patients were a sign that there could be another pathogen than plasmodium but to give this hypothesis some consideration a number of investigations had to be done in a big sample size from at least two distant locations.
In order to put this together the two teams from Madeleine and Brutch had to keep working together testing specimens and educating affected communities on prevention mechanisms and health practices.
