Chapter 5

Jack's POV

After we dealt with the director, I followed Cj who just walked out of the room with us cliffhanging by what the director just told us. This should be taken seriously, that bastard just broke the contract with Cj and just took someone else's deal. This is a serious violation!

"Cj, wait. What was that just now, you just left the conversation! That was serious, it could affect the lives of the students here if we won't know what the threat is!" I said once I get to pace with him, he was silent for a minute probably in his thinking phase.

"I know the threat." He blurted which made me look at him in surprise.

"You knew? How." Adrian finally catches up to us along with Drake and Jake following behind.

"I tagged along with Drake when we knew something was up on the other side." He just said that made me shookt, not this again. I stepped back a little to give Adrian and Cj space to quarrel.

"You... just went there again without bringing any men?! Are you stupid or something?!" Adrian yelled at Cj, anger plastered on Adrian's face as we just watch the two.

The only person who can scold Cj like that is no other than Adrian. He is the oldest among us five and Cj respected him being the eldest cousin despite the differences in their status, but Cj did not use that against their relationship as a family.

"Don't involve Drake on this just because he does this kind of work, you two are different and have different responsibilities," Adrian stated while Cj just looked at him unbothered.

"I know what I just did and I don't have an excuse for it but it's separate from the other shenanigans, I got information that I must inform the organization and must take action as soon as possible. Let's go, we will deal with this later." He said and continued walking.

See? Unbothered. I looked at Adrian who just gave up so I just pat him telling him to deal with it later at home so he just gave another sigh and walked.

We were walking quietly, as we contemplate what we just heard from the director when suddenly we heard screams. Not just any scream but that girl screams.

"Oh no, here we go," Jake said beside me.

I was about to react when all of a sudden, people already crowding around us, I recognize some faces in the crowd since I would see them on social media. Some of them are focusing on Cj more than us since he doesn't care and doesn't give a f**k about it. But that is what makes Cj popular and also, he is an influential person. As we make our way, Jake here is interacting with some girls since he knows them while I just smile at whoever wants to get my attention or talk to me.

"Damn, this is too much." I looked at Adrian who tries to protect Cj from them.

"Move." I looked at where the voice came from and it was Drake. He was in front of us who are facing them that is blocking the way inside the classroom. They were stunned by his intimidation when they decided to move since they knew how short-tempered Drake is and rumors around him made him even more frightening.

"Finally," I mutter to myself. We're about to go inside when a person suddenly appeared in front of us and went inside making us a bit surprised about it. 

"Woah. did you just see that? I girl just suddenly went inside the classroom! And most importantly she's-"

"Don't assume just yet, get inside." We all looked at Cj when he told us to move. I could see from his eyes how he looked at that girl.

Adrian pushed us inside the classroom and we sat behind her which is located in the last row at back. Once I settled myself on my seat, I looked at the girl, the one with a bright hair color who stands out among the people here. Base on what I'm seeing is that she is a redhead, ginger... I think.

I averted my eyes to Cj who is just right behind the redhead. I don't know if she's aware that they are that close, I meant their seats to the point that the redhead probably will be having a hard time getting up.

One wrong move from redhead and maybe Cj might do something she'll regret.

He'll pull her hair out to see her bare face, or something like that haha.

I called Adrian and Jake who were talking to Kamille, then right after that, the professor finally comes in so we settled.

I guess we better look out for her despite our responsibilities getting more complicated. 

Cj's POV

I gazed at her.

I gazed at her long, wavy hair that is more different from others. Now that I looked at it up real close, it's natural hair. I feel my blood boil, I clutch my hands together to ease my temper. The conversation with the director we had made my head boil, I am in such a bad mood that I want to beat someone and maybe choke them to death. If only stares could kill a person, then my job would be easy, plus, seeing this person in front of me made it worse, I can't remain calm. My problem is stacking and the progression we are doing is not adding up to what we are expecting these last few months.

I want to grab her hair and pull it to meet my gaze as she feels the suffering pain of my grip. I shook my head to calm myself from thinking like that.

My breathing is heavy, I tried my best to calm myself down before it's too late. I don't want to assume anything yet, we don't get to see people like her. These last few months is difficult, we have small progress with our work and it's stressing me out.

I was composing myself when I felt my phone vibrated in my pocket, I looked at it to see a message from Adrian. Telling me that I have to compose myself first before I do something irrational.

I looked at where Adrian is seating next to Drake when he just smiled at me. I took a long breath and just looked at the person in front.

You can't escape from me, you're already fell into my trap and you won't have a choice but to surrender yourself to me.
