Diane’s POV. “Can you be more quiet?” I asked, getting tired of the endless clanking. “oh, I’m sorry about that, ma.” The elderly woman smiled at me. “Tea is ready.” I wondered why she had to do this process here, could she not just have brought the already-made tea upstairs? “It’s fine, thanks.” I sighed, sitting up and kicking my leg over the edge of the bed. The floor felt cold against my feet and I shuddered, remembering when I lay on it helplessly. I swallowed and stretched my body to clear my head. I had been lying in bed all day since the day of the incident with Alpha Ryan. That was three days ago. I had not come out of my room or even stood up to have a shower or eat.
