Diane’s POV. I’m breathing rapidly and gasping for air. I can see the guards which I was in the car with a few seconds ago, lying around. I was thrown against the tree bark I was currently leaning when our car went up in flames. It was hard to tell if everyone was still alive from my position and the pain spreading through my body made it harder to focus, and talk less of the smoke and fire filling the air. I could not see either Alpha Ryan or Aubrey from where I was but I was certain they had both exited their car before it exploded. I felt slight short-lived relief at that. I heard movements around me before I saw them. They emerged from behind the fire, one by one, stepping over the unconscious bodies of the guards and towards Alpha Ryan’s car.
