Daine’s POV. Aubrey and I had wanted to visit a cute little store not so far away from the amusement park but the guards that came along with us weren’t letting us leave the amusement park. I suspected they didn’t want us going around too much at first and since Aubrey found another ride to distract herself with, I didn’t think too much of it. When she got bored we were going to head to the store but the guards blocked our path again, saying we couldn’t leave the vicinity. “What’s going on?” I asked one of the gruffly-looking men in shades, blocking the doorway. They shared glances before turning back to me. “Sorry ma’am, the Alpha has asked that we make sure you two remain here,” he coughed into his palm, glancing at Aubrey.
