“Max!” Melia yelled and ran out of the hut to help him sit up.“Oh, the Moon Goddess help us. Are you okay?!”
“I’m fine,” he grunted as she helped him stand as people started to gather around and ask him what was wrong while the others started to point accusing fingers at me.
“You can all leave now. He’s doing fine. It was only a minor incident,” Melia said, using her hands to cast away the people who were still huddling around Max and trying to gauge what the situation was.
“If the strange girl here hurt our leader, why don’t you just let us know so that we can get her the punishment that she so deserves?!” One of them raised his voice, and everyone burst into a cacophony of agreement.
