“What do you mean by that?” I asked, not knowing why I was angry about what she told me. “How did you even arrive at that conclusion? I mean, I understand that my parents may not be the best ones out there, but it wouldn’t make sense that—”
“Keep in mind that I didn’t just get this from anywhere, Nailea. I was casting a spell on you when I found out about it. There was this vision I had…I saw both of your parents discussing something about finding your real parents and returning you. Whether or not it happened, I have no idea.”
I placed my hands on my hips and shook my head in denial.
“I’m not sure about this, Estrella.” As I said that, an idea immediately popped up in my head, which I didn’t think she would take lightly or be keen on, but I had to try. “What if we go talk to them?”
