“Let me go!” I screamed as I struggled in Max’s hold, being as loud as I could for any witches around – if there were any – to hear me and figure out that I was being taken. “Get away from me!”
Tired of my antics, Max turned to me with a sigh and raised his hand to slap me across the face without mercy. Just when I thought he was done, he clenched his hands into fists and punched me until I doubled over in pain, letting out an agonized scream that he didn’t care about.
