Charles held me close as we made our way back to our room from Stoic's office. His presence and his touch were already calming my nerves. "Rain." Charles spoke softly. "I'm not sure what it is you see or feel when you project, but know that I'm here and I won't let anything happen to you." His words felt so reassuring to me, however the thought of him fighting an ancient one made my stomach hurt. I know that he's strong, stronger than most wolfs, but the ancient ones are so powerful.
