Third Person's POV
"What the hell did I let myself into? I let Ricco talk some s**t into my head, and now I have a woman colder than the south pole in my life. She will freeze me, I am sure." Salvatore thinks to himself.
Salva look at Ricco, who returns after walking Isabella out. She will give up five years of her life for a bloody restaurant and must not have a fascinating love life. He glares at Ricco. The room feels closer even after she leaves. She does not show emotions, and discussing a marriage is like doing a business deal with her. No ordinary woman with a warm, caring heart will even consider his proposal unless they are fortune hunters like Conner and his daughter Rosalina. Salvatore is disgusted when he thinks of Rosalina and how she threw herself at him. Her cousin is the opposite and will freeze him to death if he touches her.
"Wow, talking about an Ice Queen. Damn, that woman is cold-hearted, and she even told me to mind my own business when I asked her why she was willing to get married to Harmonies. I can only think she is very passionate about her family business," Ricco says.
"It seems like that is all she is passionate about in life. I can not believe you made me do that deal with her," Salvatore says.
"Think about it! She is perfect. She is an Ice Queen. She will not get attached to or fall in love with you and will have no emotional attachment! Your aunt and uncle will be happy and see it as the perfect marriage because we will train her to be loving when with your family, but behind closed doors, she will not always try to get into your bed like the other women. If we can pull this off, you will not have any problems for the next five years in your life, and in the meantime, you can look for the perfect wife," Ricco says.
"You are a genius. That is why you are my second in command. Now that you laid it out for me like that, I am starting to think this is the perfect solution," Salvatore says. He does not want a clingy woman around him. His heart still belongs to Anita, the woman that hurt him so much when he was younger. She left him to pursue her dream of becoming famous, and as an actress, she did not want a man in her life because it would cost her male fans who dreamed about her as their love. She picked her career as a b-list actress over him. She did never become as famous as she thought she would be. Anita Masimo is now taking any roles and is even playing in soaps. She is another young star who wanted to make it big but failed. Salvatore hoped she would return to him, but she is still trying, although she is not getting any younger. She could have had a great life with him as his wife, and she would have had all the fame she wanted in Italy, but she wanted to be famous worldwide, and all she is famous for now is being his ex-girlfriend. Salvatore smiles as it gives his broken heart a little comfort. He does not look at her work, and he does not want to see her kissing other men in the soaps she plays in.
Ricco looks at his boss with a smile. He knows Salvatore. He needs a challenge, and Isabella Stevens will be a challenge to him. She will drive him crazy with her attitude. Salvatore always wants what he can not get, and Ricco wants his boss to forget about the selfish b***h, Anita Masimo. She does not even look the same anymore. Her wealthy daddy paid for her plastic surgery, and the once beautiful woman had so much work done that she looked different, and her youthful beauty was now ruined. He knows Salva does not watch her stuff, and he will be surprised if he sees her again. She is also blocked on all his social media accounts, so even if her name appears, it will never show in Salva's feeds. Maddy never liked her, and Salva could never understand why his sister disapproved of Anita. Maybe she knew better than him what kind of woman Anita was. There is no problem with being ambitious, but if it hurts others who love you, it becomes a problem in Salvatore's books.
"I knew you would agree with my plans when you thought it through. You know your Marcelo and Carol as I have worked in their house for a long time. When his secretary retired, and you picked me as your secretary, I promised Marcelo I would always look after you and ensure you make the right decisions," Ricco says, proud of himself. He will think of a way to keep the Ice Queen in Salvatore's life and ensure that Anita does not find a way back into Salva's life and heart. He does not like that plastic b***h as she thinks she is better than everyone, and she is only as good as her surname and her father's money. She never achieved much on her own, and Ricco looked into Anita's life and realized that her father had bought all her roles in movies and soap operas. She would have never gotten a part, and people in Hollywood that worked hard for where they are today do not like her and call her a Nepo baby. A nepo baby, short for nepotism baby, is the child of an actor, musician, producer, or another industry insider who has likely benefitted from their parents' fame or connections while launching their own career. Her mother was a famous Hollywood actress before she married her father, and Anita also uses her mother's name to get roles. Still, the directors and producers in Hollywood soon realized she did not have the same talent as her mother, and her father's money was buying her parts in Hollywood. The news spread like wildfire, and the other actors and actresses despised her. She only is famous because of the soaps, but her fans soon realize that she thinks she is better than them as she does not bother to stop and greed them or want them to touch her. She does not have many fans. She is only famous in Italy for dating Salvatore Pistone, who is well-known in Italy because everyone thinks he is a billionaire and does not know he is the Godfather of the Italian Mafia worldwide.
"Fine, get the lawyers to pull up the agreement. I do not want to give her half of our money because we slipped up, and I do not want to take half of the little she has," Salvatore says.
"I have already looked into her finances. She is wealthier than you think. Yes, she inherited money from her parents, but she put it to good use and has tripled the amount she inherited in the last two years or so. She has given Charlie's Place a new life and turned it into the best restaurant chain in the states again," Ricco says.
Isabella walks out of the hotel. What the hell just happened?
"I agreed to marry a man I do not know for the sake of Harmonies. I swear I am going crazy. The man is dangerous, and who says I can take him at his word?" Isabella talks to herself in her head. It is too late to go back on her word now. She has to be here tomorrow morning to sign the contract. Then she can fly back to New York. She needs to find a place to sleep tonight. She was not planning on staying. She does not want to get married here. Isabella told Salvatore they could do it overseas, as I did not wanther family or anyone else to know. Her family knows many people, and Isabella is unwilling to explain why she is doing what she is doing. She does not want them to know she is doing it to get Harmonies back. She smiles as she knows she will make Salvatore leave her sooner than the five years. She will make his life a living hell. Bloody bastard took her family business, but she does not want to take Harmonies. She will pay him the money her uncle owes him for Harmonies, so he can never say she got the restaurant for free.
Isabella knows that many people think she is only successful because of her surname and her parent's money. They do not know about all the hours she put into Charlie's Place to get it back to the top. Especially the women in the states are jealous of her for not needing a man to be successful. It is also why she does not want anyone to know about her upcoming wedding. She knows Pristone must be wealthy, and if the word gets out, everyone will say she married him for his money because she could not make it on her own. It makes Isabella bitter to think that no one even wants her to be successful. As she walks to the waiting limo, her cousin walks towards her. Isabella rolls her eyes. She is tired. She had a long flight and a longer day. All she needs now is her cousin trying to piss her off.
"Isabella! What are you doing here? I hope you did not go and see Don Pistone. You have no right to interfere in my father's business. We have a plan, and we do not need you to interfere with our plans," Rosalina says.
"Rosalina, leave me alone. You and your father messed things up for Harmonies. I do not know your bloody plan, but you need to step back and let me handle this," Isabella says.
"I am going to offer myself to him for Harmonies. He will accept me as I am a catch for any man. He is a warm-blooded Italian, and he will not be able to resist me," Rosalina says. She is not very clever, telling anyone who wants to listen all their plans. Isabella could still picture Salvatore's face filled with disgust when she offered him her cousin. He did not make any secret of his what he thought of her cousin.
"I offered to buy Harmonies back from him, so back off," Isabella says.
"Hahaha, he will instead take me than your inheritance money. You think you are all that, but you are nothing without the money you inherit from your mother and father," Rosalina says.
"He said he would think about it, but good luck," Isabella says as she walks to her car.
"What do you mean with good luck? You do not think he wants me, do you? I will prove you wrong. Say goodbye to Harmonies forever," Rosalina says. Isabella ignores her and walks to her car. The driver opens the limo door to her, and Rosalina looks on with jealousy at the classy, beautiful woman that gets into a limo. Rosalina smiles. She will soon be wealthier than Isabella when she becomes the wife of Salvatore Pistone. She knows that Salvatore is so rich that she does not think he even knows how much money he has. Rosaline walks into the lobby of the hotel. She walks to the reception and asks to see Salvatore Pistone. The receptionist calls Salvatore's room for the second time that day, but this time his secretary tells her to tell the woman that Mr. Pistone is resting. The receptionist smiles as she looks at the woman that is almost wearing nothing.
"Mr. Pistone is resting," She says.
"I will wait here until he comes down," Rosalina says, sitting in the lobby. Her dress is so short that she looks uncomfortable. The receptionist calls Ricco again and tells him that Rosalina Stevens is sitting in the lobby waiting for Salvatore, and it seems she is not planning on leaving soon. Ricco sighs. He knows that kind of woman. She will not leave until he makes her go. Ricco goes downstairs to take care of the problem. He walks over to where the woman is sitting.
"Ms. Stevens, Mr. Pistone will see you tomorrow at five. He has a full day tomorrow, and he is exhausted today," Ricco says.
"Thank you, I will be here tomorrow at five," Rosalina says. Rosalina smiles as she has an appointment. She will wear her best dress tomorrow, giving her time to do her hair and nails. Ricco looks at the young woman walking out and thinks of how different she is from the classy Isabella. Rosalina does not know that Salvatore will not be there tomorrow at five as he is planning to leave at the same time Isabella will leave for New York. They will then fly from New York to Italy to get married, or that is the plan so far.
