After kissing them goodbye I was the wreck crying as the camp bus rolled away. Tasha smiled at me, mouthing 'I love you,' while Elodie waved excitedly, psyched about camp. I watched the bus roll out of view, slipping on my shades to hide my red puffy eyes as I headed back to the car. I sat behind the wheel as the other parents left one by one, till I was the last car in the lot, and I flipped down the sun visor. We'd had some photographs taken in a booth at the mall, and we'd taken it in turns to pull the craziest faces. I laughed as I held the photos and I sank back against the headrest, praying that they enjoyed their time at camp and that I could hold it together while they were gone.
