Jack We tracked them all the way to an abandoned house in the middle of nowhere. But we were too late. They were already gone. We missed them by hours. Again I moved into the house alone. Her scent was strongest in the basement. She was alive, but I didn't know for how much longer. It looked like they fed her something, but it hadn't stayed down. I gagged at the smell of it. It wasn't just food and stomach acid. There was something else mixed in there. I couldn't quite figure out what, but whatever it was, my wolf didn't like it. From her lingering scent, I could tell she was still scared but at the same time angry. Good, stay angry, baby girl. Fight as hard as you can. I am not far behind.
