I breathe a sigh of relief when we finally reach Vic’s house. As the car comes to a stop in the driveway Tau gets out of the car, leaving me alone in the backseat. My eyes close voluntarily as the tension that had thrummed throughout my body ever since Tau pulled me into his arms eased. I sag against the seat, learning my head on the headrest.
