Emmett’s warm body enveloped mine, creating a protective and comforting embrace. As my eyes slowly fluttered open, I inhaled deeply, relishing the feeling of finally being awake and free. Emmett had saved me once again, though he would insist it was a team effort. In my eyes, he would forever be my hero.
