Janhavi reached her home. She entered the living room to find it empty. She looked at the watch to find the time to be 5 PM. That means her father and brother would be in their respective working places. She directly went towards the kitchen and back hugged her mother who was preparing dough for dinner.
"Tired?" Sugandha asked her daughter and turned her face to kiss Janhu's forehead.
"Yes, too much." Janhavi lazily replied.
"How was the college Janhu? " Ahana, her sister in law, asked lovingly. She was a sweet lady married to her elder brother, Vivaan Mishra. They even had a son of three years old, Vihan Mishra. He was a mischievous kid and She loves him more than her life.
"Fine and interesting." She replied thinking about the incidents happening in the college. She was happy for getting a friend like Niha. While she was surprised by the incident that took place at the backside of college. Although the tune was interesting for her, the sudden disappearance of it made her suspicious. Her thoughts were interrupted by Sugandha's voice who just now finished her work and noticed her daughter's tired face.
"Janhu! You seemed to be tired. Go and take rest. But don't forget to come for dinner on time. Otherwise you know your father, he will be angry." Sugandha said expressing her worry. While She nodded in order to assure her mother that she was fine and walked away from the kitchen.
Janhavi climbed up the stairs and reached near her room. After freshening up she took a short nap as she was really exhausted by walking to college which was situated two kilometers distance from her home. It does not mean that her family could not afford her transport expenses. But She didn't want to increase their burden.
Her father, Mr. Vivek Mishra is a manager in a private bank and Her elder brother Vivaan works as a manager at a reputed company belonging to some Royals of Rajasthan. They were middle-class family and happy with everything. But, she knew that her mother had heart issues and she seriously need an open-heart surgery as early would be possible. Being a middle-class family they were facing financial issues as the surgery will cost a lot.
She always wanted to study hard and support her family financially. Although her conservative orthodox family loved their only daughter, they still wanted her to get married early. It's only Sugandha who convinced Vivek to let her continue her graduation as everyone will want at least a graduated wife in this modern world. And she very well familiar with the truth that her family won't allow her further studies and they will start to search the groom for her after completion of her graduation. Still, there was always a hope alive inside her heart that she will get a chance to prove herself.
Thinking about her not so simple life, Janhavi slept unknowingly. The tiring day made her sleep more deeply. After an hour, she woke up at a sudden, hearing the same guitar sound. She looked everywhere and found nothing.
Janhavi's pov
I drifted into a deep sleep. But I woke up at a sudden, listening to the same guitar tune, that was not leaving my mind, from the time I have heard it. I looked around to know the source of the sound but found nothing confirming that I was hearing the sound in my dream.
"It was a dream, But why did I get a dream about the same sound that I listened in the college?" I asked myself in confusion.
But all my confusion flew away listening to the bike horn indicating that my father had arrived. Ignoring my never ending thoughts, I moved downstairs as I didn't want him to be angry by being late. He would stop my college if I will complain about the tiring day. So I helped my mother and sister in law in arranging the dining table.
Soon papa and Bhai joined us in the dining table.
"Vivaan, how was your office? Did you talk to your boss about a loan?" Papa asked Bhai. While I looked at him expecting that he would ask me about my first day at college.
"Yes, papa, I talked with our department head and he assured me about the help. " Vivaan Bhai politely replied and then continued eating. My face fell but soon I masked my emotions.
I didn't miss their worried expressions and I knew about the reason for their tensions. They were expecting a loan from bhai's boss for Maa's surgery. I wanted to assure them that everything would be fine but I couldn't because papa would not like my interference. So I did what I could. I prayed to God in my mind for my family's well-being.
After completing the dinner I went to my bedroom and laid myself on bed. Sleep was far away from my eyes. Today, I felt something different. My inner sense was alerting me about a change that was going to happen. I hoped that it would be better for my family. Unknowingly my thoughts went around the guitar sound that I had heard in the college.
"That sound had something inside it as if the voice was calling me, but suddenly it stopped. Oh God, I didn't want to think about those weird sounds." I said to myself and closed my eyes in order to get sleep. Soon I drifted into deep sleep due to the exhausting day.

On the other side of the city, A young boy, probably in his mid-twenties, was playing with his guitar sitting on the open terrace. He tuned the strings and started to sing.
