Andrew arrived not long ago when we were at the terrace ringing the doorbell continuously. The music at the terrace was so loud that we couldn't decipher what was going on downstairs. Luckily, I had told Andrew my door pin, he typed in the pin after a while of ringing the bell and stepped into the house. “Audrey!” He looked around in search of me and suddenly took a long stride upstairs when he couldn’t find me. Andrew halted the moment he heard loud music coming from the terrace. He grunted and made his way to the terrace.

I was sulking for losing at the competition with Charlotte who now stepped out of the water. “Come on, Audrey. I’ve always been good at swimming, okay I promise to be lenient with you next time” she asserted while drying herself.

“Audrey” I heard a husky voice that belonged to Andrew which prompted me to turn. “Hey, babe! When did you arrive? This is a surprise but a pleasant one” I switched off the speaker, walked up to him, and placed a kiss on his forehead.

“I was missing you so I came straight from work, how is everything? I can see that you’re having fun” his gaze went to Charlotte who was standing gawking at us.

“Oh! That’s Charlotte.” I pulled him in her direction. “Charlotte, my boyfriend Andrew” I introduced them briefly.

“Nice meeting you Drew, can I call you that” Andrew gazed at me for confirmation, I just shrugged and nodded swiftly. “Yes you can, nice meeting you too” they greeted each other with a peck.

“Since you’re here, I think you should join us in our small house party” I suggested and dragged him to the table, I handed him my wine glass and quickly filled it up with champagne.

“I’ll go get another glass” I muttered and left the terrace.

Shortly after I left the terrace Charlotte placed her wine glass on the table, took her sunscreen, and got up from her seat. She strode to Andrew, standing in front of him she bent slowly while gently applying the sunscreen on her bare thigh, Andrew who was already hot swallowed hard, and looked away as he didn’t understand what was going on with Charlotte? He wouldn’t want me to catch him staring at my friend's ass. Charlotte stretched her hands as she sneaked a peek at Andrew, she groaned and stumped her feet on the ground as she didn’t get what she wanted, but insisted on getting Andrews's attention. “Hey! Can you help apply the sunscreen on my back, my hand can’t reach there” she said coquettishly with an alluring smile. Andrew froze gawking at her with amazement.

“Oh, I’m sorry if you can’t do that. I was thinking you couldn’t assist” she mumbled to Andrew and turned to leave, he grabbed her hand, “of course, I’d love to assist” he smiled evilly and took the sunscreen from her.

Charlotte had a smug smile on her face and lay on the sun lounger.

Atlas, I’m glad I’d be able to spend my weekend with Andrew, I thought to myself as I walked to the wine cabinet, I quickly picked up an extra glass and swirled to leave when I heard my cell phone ring. I took a swift turn and headed up to my room. “Hey, sis!” I let out, with a smile.

“Are you okay?” She inquired, “I’m fine thanks, Aubrey cares about me the most” she chuckled and reminded me of our birthday that is coming up next weekend. I grimaced as I almost had forgotten about it. “Remember it will be celebrated in your new apartment” she affirmed.

“What! Are you coming over?”

“Of course, it’s our day,” she retorted.

“Very good then, the more people the merrier” I sat down on the bed excited. Aubrey slightly confused inquired what I meant, I notified her that Charlotte was staying with me

“What! You took that b***h in, why is she back?” She asked, alarmed.

“Well, family issues. She is staying for a while” I explained but she scolded me instead and ended the call. I groaned as I recalled that Aubrey and Charlotte didn’t click quite well. I hissed and stepped downstairs, I took the next turn and headed to the terrace.

“Hey! Guys, sorry that I took so long” I muttered but suddenly halted as I saw Andrew applying sunscreen on Charlotte, “you brought a sunscreen?” I stared at them awkwardly wondering why they were in that position? “Well, it’s normal to assist someone to apply sunscreen” l thought to myself as I strode to the table to fill my glass with champagne.

“Hey! What took you so long? The sun was too much and I had to ask Andrew to assist me with the sunscreen. Sorry about that” Charlotte explained.

“Don’t say that, I’m glad he could assist. I just got a call from my sister reminding me about our birthday. That was what took my time” I let out as I gulped my champagne. They both raised their glasses and celebrated with me in advance. After having a couple of drinks Andrew checked his wristwatch, “I’ll get going now honey, see you tomorrow” he kissed my cheeks and bid goodbye to Charlotte.

“I’ll walk you out” I clasped his arm and led him out of the house.

“You have such a nice boyfriend who doted on you” Charlotte asserted as I stepped into the living room. I beamed and threw myself on the sofa. “Yes, Andrew loves me so much that he couldn’t stay away from me for so long. We’re both planning a new life together” I announced, rubbing both my palms.

“Indeed he is, I can see how he stares at you with a lot of love, best of luck b***h” Charlotte responded. I thanked her and suggested ordering pizza for dinner.
