Because of our animal side, werewolves had amplified emotions, which meant they were more intense for us than they were for humans or other supernatural creatures. Happiness, sadness, excitement, and more importantly, love and anger. It was common for us to make decisions based on our mood, which is why great leaders should have impeccable control over their emotions - the stronger the wolf living inside of the human, the harder it usually was for them to be controlled, and the bigger was the damage they could cause.
