Narrator’s POV
It was Zaira.
Zaira didn’t think twice before she hastily apologized and ran out of the room.
She didn’t go back to her room. No. She didn’t dare to.
Without a second thought, Zaira ran down the hallway and the steps. When she got closer to the door, she stopped running and changed to speed walking. Although she was in shock, it did stop her from thinking rationally. The pack guards were outside the house today since Alpha King Leo was around, they were sensitive to any rapid movements and situation. If they spotted her running out of the house, she might end up drawing too much unnecessary attention to herself, which was something she did not want. They probably wouldn’t think too much about it if they saw her speed-walking out of the house.
