Chapter Fourteen - Date night (Part one)

1431 Words
Scarlett    I'm so glad I came in to see Caleb today, and he was a lot nicer than I expected. If I were him, I wouldn't have given me the time of day after running off. I really should get ready to go home and get ready for the night ahead. I finished my coffee and got my coat on.    "Caleb, that's me going to go now," I tell him as I sit down my plate and coffee cup on the counter, "Will I take your jacket with me?" I smiled at him.   "Yes please, that would be great. I will see you soon," He said, flashing that gorgeous smile at me.    "I can't wait," I smiled, blowing him a kiss before leaving.    I left the coffee shop and then remembered I need to go to the shop and get some supplies for dinner tonight, so I go into my local shop on the way home and get what I need. I did even ask him what he liked. I will just get stuff to make a curry. Everyone likes curry.    I stopped by the shop, getting what I needed. I grabbed a bottle of wine too in case he forgets it. Better safe than sorry, right? I couldn't stop smiling as I made my way home. I was excited to have a night alone with him tonight. I don't know where the night will go, but I am anxious to find out. I could spend hours just talking to him, kissing him. He was such a great kisser, his lips so soft and warm. The thought of it was enough to make me shiver and lick my lips.    I get to my front door and make my way in, locking the door. I went straight to the kitchen to unpack the shopping and get the stuff put in the fridge. I bounced upstairs to go for a shower and freshen up. I probably shouldn't as I don't have the time, but I want to make sure I look and smell amazing. After a quick wash, I get ready and go back down to get things prepared for Caleb coming.    I switch on the radio and start getting stuff ready. Dancing around my kitchen and shaking my butt. I was having fun in my own little world, a feeling of happiness in me. I twirl around closing the fridge, and I see a figure at my kitchen window. Why is he here? Can he not give me one damn day? I groaned, going to open the backdoor, PJ coming over and walking straight in.    "I forgot how good you could move," He smirked.    How long has that creep been watching me?    "PJ, what are you doing here? Caleb will be here soon, and he can't see you," I said, annoyed.    "I wanted to see how it was going, and what your next step was?" He said, "And drop the attitude, sweetheart," He added, glaring at me.    "I am getting to know his routines," I said.    "And what do you plan for tonight? Get him into your damn bed?" He hissed.    "You said I need to do what it takes to make him fall for me, and if I need to get him into my bed to do that, then yes," I said.    I was feeling sick to my stomach as I said all this. Caleb doesn't deserve this!    "I didn't mean for you to sleep with him scar!" PJ said with a raised voice walking towards me.    He put his hands on the work surface behind me. His arms blocked me from moving.    "PJ, what do you take me for! I was winding you up," I smirked at him, "Of course I'm not going to get him into my bed, I'm only trying to get to know his movements," I added.   He didn't move, PJ just glared at me with a horrible look on his face. It was a look of anger.   "Don't try and be smart with me, you little b***h!" He shouted, pushing away from me.   "Sorry, I was just trying to laugh," I said, looking down at the floor.   He was the one that told me to do anything it takes did he not. I wouldn't do that though, not for this damn job. Because I want to, then yes, I would.    "Be careful," He growled, "I will be close by," He added.    He headed out my door, slamming it behind him. If I never knew any better, I would say he was jealous. I wish he would stay away and let me get on with it. PJ showing up nearly every other day is not helping any of us!    Be careful; what does that even mean? Caleb isn't going to hurt me. He's not some crazy killer; well I don't think he is. I wish PJ could have told me more about why Caleb is a target, but at the same time, I don't think I want to know the true extent of what I'm involved in. I turn my music up and dance around some more, pushing PJ to the back of my head.    It's nearly five p.m, so I text Caleb my address. He should be here by five-thirty as I only live five minutes away from the shop. I didn't expect a response, but I got one.   I will be leaving in ten minutes can you have a drink ready for me, I need it after today. C xx   I make sure everything is ready for him arriving, I've grabbed glassed for us and spritzed myself with more perfume. My nerves are kicking in, but they always do when I see him. I hear my front door chap, that will be Caleb. I go and open my door to find Caleb standing with flowers for me.    "For you, my lady," He said, a dorky smile playing on his lips.    "Aww, thank you, baby boy, they are beautiful," I said, kissing his cheek.    I stepped aside and let him come in. He handed me the flowers and headed to find a vase for them. They were beautiful, multi-colour tulips.    "Do you know you are the first man to ever by my flowers?" I said as I got them prepared for the vase.    "What? Surely not," He said surprised.    "I swear," I giggled.      "Not sure if I believe that Scarlett, surely someone has bought you flowers before?" He smiled.    "Honestly, never once have I been bought flowers, end of the conversation," I smiled then gave him another kiss this time on the lips.    I finally backed away, and we both just smiled at each other. I picked up my prepared flowers and rearranged them in the case.     "So my lady, where would you like me to start?" He asked me as he opened the fridge.   "Pour the wine," I gave him a little side, smirk, "I like to start my night with a moist mouth." I turned back to look at my flowers and gave them a sniff.    I hear him groan behind me. I giggled to myself because I couldn't resist saying that to him. He came up behind me, his front to my back. I feel my entire body tense, the feeling of him this close to me, sending me crazy.    "Your wine," He whispered in my ear, his lips brushing against my neck before he pulled away.    "Thank you," I breathed out.    He let out a small chuckle, appearing at my side.    "You OK there, beautiful," He said, looking a little smug.    "Hmm," was my response.    I turned around, so we were both facing each other. I could feel his body on me; he was leaning into me. I leaned back a bit and took a sip of my wine.   "Mmm that is some good wine, I like the icy cold running down my throat", I said to him as I ran my fingers down my neck and over the top of my chest.    "I think I enjoy watching you drink the wine", Caleb said, his eyes watching me closely.    I love how much I can just draw him into me with every move and every comment. He drew me in, in the same way, though.    "Anyway, Mr, we have lots to do if you want to have some dinner. I hope you brought dessert?" I asked, biting my bottom lip.    "Damn, I was that excited to see you, I forgot," He said.    "It is OK. I bought some just in case," I giggled.    "Thank God one of us are thinking straight," He laughed.    I stole one last kiss before we made a move to get started on dinner. It was good to have time with him, without anyone else around, without worrying about PJ lurking in the shadows. I had closed my blinds, so even if he were outside, he wouldn't see anything.    He was not ruining this night for me!
