What's a best friend?

Allison POV: BEEP BEEP BEEP I roll over to my side and hit the snooz button my alarm. I don’t want to get up and go to school I just want to stay in bed and sleep all day long. “Alison get up. I heard you’re alarm.” My mom yell from down stairs. “I’m up mom!” I yell back. I roll myself out of bed and walk through my room to the bathroom in the hall. I turn the shower on and take a nice warm shower. I wrap a towel around me and walk out of the bathroom back to my room. I close the blinds and I get dressed in a red shirt and blue jeans. I make my way down stairs to the kitchen where mom is making breakfast. She places a plate of eggs and beacon in front of me and I eat quickly before getting up and heading to school. I don’t want to be late on my first day. I make it to school and see there are a lot of kids just standing around. I’m really excited to make a friend. I’m a bit of a loner. I don’t like big groups and I don’t like lots of people that’s why I only want one friend a best friend. I make my way to the office and I get my schedule. I walk to class and take my seat just as bell rings. I see all the kids walking in and take their seats. I sit at the back of class and take notes.  When the bell rings for our next class a blond-haired girl with brown eyes walks up to me. “Hello I’m Kate, you’re new here right?” She says pulling me into a hug. “Yes I am.” I say as I hug her back. “I’m Allison by that way.” I say sounding very confident. “We have class together all day so you can follow me around.” She says as she hooks her arm into mine and we walk to our next class. the day goes by smoothly and before I know it it’s lunch time. I walk with her to a tree in the middle of the school where a group of kids are sitting. “Hey guy’s this is Allison she’s new.” She says as we sit down. “Hey, I’m Rachel, and this is Fiona and Markus.” She says pointing to the girl with Brown hair and brown eyes and to the guy with black hair  and brown eyes. “Hello.” They say in unison. I sit down next to them when I see someone climbing out of the tree. He doesn’t look too bad, wink wink. He stands in front of me and his eyes meet mine, immediately I fall in love. He has brown hair and green eyes just like mine. “Hello I’m Conner.” He says as he extends his hand. I blush a little but quickly recover and shake his hand. Some guys came running up to us., “Hey, did you get it?” they ask, as he takes the tennis ball out of his pocket. “Thanks dude.” They say as they take the ball and leave. He sits down next to me and I start to feel nervous. I listen to the rest of the conversations through break trying to get to know the people and their personalities. When the bell rings and break is over we all say goodbye. I get up and follow Kate back to class. When we got back to class we sat down and the teacher started with her lecture. I couldn’t get Conner out of my head, I keep thinking of him and how perfect he looks. I can’t believe this it’s the first day of school and already I’m crushing on someone. I told myself I wouldn’t fall in love again, that it hurts to much when they leave and yet I’m falling for Conner.  The teacher gives us homework and the bell rings to signal the end of class. The next few classes weren’t much different all in all a very boring day, except for meeting that someone special. The bell rings to signal the end of the school day and I head to the gate where my grandfather is waiting to pick me up since mom woks until 5. I get in the car, “How was your first day kiddo?” he says as he pulls away from the school. “Good thank you, and your day?” I ask him with a smile. ”Good thank you. Did you make friends kiddo?” He asked. “Yes, I did.” I said blushing thinking about Conner. “Maybe someone more than friends?” he asked smiling at me. “Maybe.” I said smiling back. We got home and I got out of the car and went inside. The whole house smelled like cinnamon.  I walked to the kitchen and my grandmother was making fries and fishfingers. “Afternoon gran.” I said giving her a hug. “Hello sweetie, how was your first day?” she asked hugging me back. “Good I made friends.” I said walking over to the cupboard to get out the plates and knives and forks. I got everything out and set the table. Granddad sat down and grandmother came and brought the food in. I walked back to the kitchen, “Does anyone want anything to drink?” I asked. “No thank you sweetie. Come eat your food will get cold.” Grandmother said as I poured myself a glass of coke.  I walked back and ate my food. “I’m going to do some homework.” I said as I got up and took my plate to the kitchen. “Okay sweetie call us if you need anything.” She said as I left the kitchen and walked to the study. I sat down and took out my books and placed them on the table next to me. I started to do my homework and by 5 o’clock I was done and packed up. Shortly after my mom came to pick me up.
