The Christmas eve was the night of the family. Everyone would gather around a big table with relatives and such and have a traditional dinner after which most families went for a run around the forest.
Robin usually went over to her friends’ houses, especially Iris’s family house as they are the most fun out of the bunch. But thanks to the unusual circumstance of her being mated and being hell-bent on not being mated by this time next year, Robin decided to not go to any dinner at all.
If she goes to her friends' places it would be awkward as parents think that Robin is really mated to Wilder. They will ask questions as to where is your mate? Only other option was Margo’s place but she left to celebrate the holidays with her family and they lived 5 hours’ drive away.
