“Brother, are you sure in this path?” Castiel crunched through the snow behind him and his concern bled off him in a tsunami in the pre-dawn wasteland of winter. It annoyed Gabriel to no end, but a worried Castiel was pretty standard in his extremely old existence. “You have been awake for only a week. You lack the strength to camouflage. You still sleep more than half the day.”
Yeah, Castiel’s drone got on his nerves. “You just worried I’ll succeed where you failed?”
Castiel’s steps faltered to a standstill. “No, but I do not relish you falling on your face in exhaustion. Our Fire does not operate as efficiently, nor is it practically limitless, here on Earth.”
