Odd One Out
She felt alone in every way;
No one understood her pain.
She was the wayward girl they say,
The one who always went astray.
She faced the bullies every day;
They mocked her clothes and called her names.
She wished that she could run away,
But she had nowhere else to stay.
She was the odd one out at home;
They didn't understand her plight.
They saw her as a misguided clone,
But she had dreams and goals in sight.
She dreamed of finding a new place,
Where she could be herself and free,
Where she could find some love and grace,
And live in peace and harmony.
She searched for meaning in her life;
She tried different paths and roles.
She faced many challenges and strife,
But never gave up on her goals.
She learned to love herself and grow;
She found her voice and inner fire.
She didn’t let the past define her,
But forged ahead with hope and desire.
She realized she was not alone;
There were others like her too.
She found a place where she belonged,
Even if she feared it would all be taken.
Not really sure why I felt the need to publish this, but it is my truth nonetheless. Maybe some of you guys can relate?
