Chapter 2

I move my eyes away from her lips and stare at the loveliest brown eyes I’ve ever seen in my entire life.

“I said you’ve had your period but I certainly guess she was not aware of it.” I stayed calm like it was nothing though, for some girls, I knew they found it awkward.

Her cheeks turned red and she bit her lower lip.

“My s**t!” she cusses and made me raise my brows.

“Watch your words, Kisses.” I warn her but she shakes her head and drops her own feet back on the floor again.

I noticed she grew a lot taller but not so tall compared to me. I still find her petite.

“How big it was? Gosh!” she bites her index finger as she twists her head to look at her own butt.

I can’t help but glance at her boobs. Bulshit! She’s so sexy now.

I turn my back and hold her luggage. It's the best way to escape from this demon inside me. Kung ako na ganito na para na niyang tiyuhin ay nakikita ang ganda niya, paano pa ang ibang mga lalaki rito na hindi siya kilala? Baka ilang araw lang mula ngayon, pila na ang nasa pinto ko para yayain siya na makipag-date.

And why the f**k was she asking me that stupid thing? Where would I use such freakin' napkin? On my ass? Diyos ko.

“Why would you even think I’d have that? Don’t you have any? Can’t we just use a… tissue? I have a lot of toilet paper, baby.” I shrug but she frowns at me and purses her thin sexy lips.

“Do you know something about this thing, Daddy Caine? This couldn’t simply be covered by your toilet paper. Buy me a napkin.” She turns her back and marches.

I instantly look at her butt. Damn! She has a perfect pair of butt cheeks.

My jaws dropped when I realized what she just said. “No way, sweetie. I’m never gonna buy a napkin. Change your clothes then we’ll go somewhere to buy what you need.” I smile at her but she clutches her fists.

“No! Isusumbong kita kay Mommy! I’ll tell her you’re not taking care of your baby.” She madly stated and naughtily crossed her arms over her chest as she raised her brows at me.

Holy f**k! What’s this, the first day of blackmail? How long will I be dealing with this kind of brat? God, until she finishes her studies, and when is that? Holy moron, that will be years from now.

Kasalanan ko rin. Ako ang nag-spoil sa kanya noon pa man. Mas malala pa ako kay Jix dahil tuwang-tuwa ako nang siya ay ipanganak, lalo na at alam ko kung anong milagro ang bumalot sa buhay nilang mag-ina nang ipinagbubuntis siya ni Nikka.

I can’t f*****g say no to her. She’s so hard to turn down. I mean, oh man, she’s damn lovely and sweet just to be rejected.

“Okay,” I sigh and it makes her smile. She jumps like a kid and broadens her lovely grin.

“You have to call your Mom first. Sa totoo lang, papaaalis na ako ngayon para hanapin ka dahil kahapon pa lumapag ang eroplano mo. Care to tell me what happened? Namasyal ka pa ba habang ang Nanay mo ay mabaliw-baliw na?”

Para siyang nakonsensya. Lumambot at naging mala-anghel lalo ang mukha niya. Ganito naman siya tuwing mga magulang niya ang pinag-uusapan, isang bagay na nakakatuwa sa isang spoiled na Nassandra.

She loves her parents so dearly. No question.

“I…I wasn’t able to call them e. When I tried naman via landline, the hotel’s line had a problem.”

“Hindi mo ba pina-roam ang sim card mo?”

“I don’t know what’s the problem with my e-sim. It wasn’t working, too.”

Tumango na lang ako. Hindi naman sinungaling si Nassy. When she says there is a problem, there really is a problem. Wala naman dahilan para hindi niya abisuhan ang mga magulang niya na nandito na siya.

She smiled, “Please buy me na a napkin.”

I can’t help but smile, too as I shake my head. How can I ever say no to the only happiness that I have? Nass is one of the fewest people who loved me and made me feel important. When this girl was born and started to grow up so fast, she never failed to make me feel how important I was for her. And I guess nothing ever changed. Many years had passed and I had thought she would also lose her fatherly love for me as she grew up and finally reached her adolescent years, but I proved myself so wrong. Her Mom told me that Nass always wanted to call me even when I was at war. And now, she decided to live with me as she wanted to pursue her studies.

I feel so glad about that. She’s the sole person on earth who caught my precious attention, more than anybody. She was the only girl who could easily make me smile. Hindi kasi ako palangiti na tao. Alam ko iyon sa sarili ko.

That’s the reason why she used to call me Daddy Grumpy. Kung anu-ano nga ang tawag niya sa akin, mga kakatwang palayaw dahil sa ugali ko, at siya lang ang nakakagawa nun.

She’s not even afraid of me. When I raise my tone, she raises hers even more, and all that I could do was to shut my damn mouth. She’s a damn tigress and cocky, like her Mom. Oh, she’s more than Ate Nikka. She’s a de Lorenzo, pure blood of Jix, bossy and arrogant and… so adorable. Kahit sinong de Lorenzo, walang hindi maaakit. Nakita ko na rin ang mga pinsan niya, walang itulak kabigin, babae man o lalaki.

“Go upstairs. You have to call your Mom and Dad when I come back. And there are only two rooms here, sweetie. You go straight ahead and open the door on your left. Right door's mine.” I bob my brow and she happily claps her hands, but it vanishes for a certain reason I don’t necessarily know.

“Aren’t you keeping a dirty woman in one of those rooms?” her eyes became too furious.

God, she’s jealous again. How can I even f**k a woman then in my own house if she’s going to act like my seventy-year-old mother? As if I was still a nine-year-old kid, huh? Well, baby, I can’t live without s*x and it’s my addiction right now.

I shake my head and press my lips together, “No Miss, Tigress. I do not. The place is safe for an inexperienced little brat. If…” I rake her.

What if she’s not innocent anymore? Paano kung may pinayagan na siya na kumuha sa kanya? Mga kabataan ngayon ay tulad ni Dora.

Holy s**t, no! “If you still haven’t let some stupid boys give you your first experience.” I teased her but she giggled.

Tinakpan niya ang labi niya at napaka-cute niya.

“How do you want me to answer that?” Nakatitig na sagot niya sa akin.

Nassy bites her lower lip and I don’t think I like the idea that Jix didn’t pay enough closer attention to her. I’ll shoot that man first if he hasn’t. It was our deal that we would both protect this lady and wouldn’t let a guy touch her until she reached mid-thirties.

“Holy f**k, Clariz Nassandra! Don’t tell me you broke your promise.” My blood starts to boil, “I’ll kill that moron! I’m more than a de Lorenzo, Nass and I can do more than smashing and pummeling, I’m telling you.”

Naglakad siya papalapit sa akin at nakatitig pa siya. Bakit niya ako tinititigan sa paraan na hindi pa niya ginawa sa akin noon? She has really grown up now, yet she’s not even aware that most of the time, she’s wearing a seductive stare. She must not. f**k! She’ll drive any man crazy!

She looks up at me and naughtily smiles, too, “Tell me first that you missed me, too.” She demanded.

I stare at her face for a while then I nod. “So much.” I sincerely said and I mean it. It’s the truth. Wala akong magagawa kung hindi sabihin iyon dahil magtatampo siya kapag hindi.

Hindi ako nakatanggap ng anumang sagot mula sa kanya. Niyakap niya ako bigla. But what the hell is this feeling?

Nanigas ang mga panga ko pero hindi ako nagpahalata.

“No, no. Wait until you turn 35. That’s an order and not even you can break it.” I can’t help but point my finger to her nose.

I hear another giggle from her. Lumayo siya sa akin sa pagkakataon na ito.

“I can break it. Try me.” She teased. Then, she ran toward the staircase giggling.

Bulshit! She can’t lose her innocence. Not now that she’s here. I must protect her and mustn't let a stupid guy draw closer to her. I won’t tolerate it, over my dead body! Ano pa at naging magaling akong US Navy kung basta ko na lang hahayaan ang estupido na iyon na kunin si Nassandra? I have to meet that guy but I have to deal with this stupid boner of mine first.

Nakakahiya ang nararamdaman ko.

She winks at me and leaves me with a light seductive smirk… so very Jix.
