The crowd instantly went wild at the sight of the vampire lord. Snarling, stomping and yelling at him; calling him all hateful names with full distaste.
Owen and Athalia glanced at eachother, grimacing at the memory of what they saw.
The king exhaled deeply, holding his hand behind his back. "Tomorrow, at exactly noon, after the council of the Sunndrom and Slitherwit kingdoms' meeting, we will announce our verdict for this beast of a man!"
He glanced at the broken Lord with a disgust look, spitting on the floor as he walked away from the stage, helping his wife up and taking her into the palace.
As the king and queen left, the crowd still continued to scream, "Kill him!"
"Cut off his head!"
"That monster!"
"Burn him alive!"
"Vampires can never to be trusted!"
"Kill him!"
As they crowd had no mercy in castigating the lord as he was pulled away shamelessly, Athalia and Owen felt their father's hand on their shoulders, motioning for them to leave.

Athalia and Owen sat in their bedroom, looking down at the space between their beds. Their legs dangled off the edge of their beds as they sat opposite eachother.
Athalia then sighed, "I know the Lord is innocent! He would not kill the princess out of whim!"
"But we saw it with our own two eyes—"
"SHHH!" Athalia hushed him, frowning at him as she gestured for him to lower his voice. He covered his mouth, nodding as he glanced around their small room with only the two of them in it.
He then whispered, "But we saw him kill her with our own two eyes".
"But we also saw him with Princess Lamia before that. You saw his odd behaviour after he had a drink with her... She must have done something to him".
Owen's eyes widened, "You are calling her a witch!? But she is human!"
"I would have agreed with you, if we did not see her whisper to the Lord then have him kill his fiancée".
Owen bit his lips, looking down. He then asked, "What do you think is her reason for enchanting the Lord to do such?"
"Seeing to as how close they were before the drink, I think maybe they were once courting".
"You may be right. And maybe she got jealous of Princess Amber being the one he wants to marry".
"Exactly!" She snapped her fingers, "Now you are using your brain like taught you".
Owen smiled proudly, hitting his chest. Till he then felt insulted, "Hey!"
"Forget that", she waved her hand, "Let's think of the most important thing at hand. The lord. Did you see how broken he looked out there? He did not all look like the same killer who did what he did. It was most definitely a spell".
"Okay, we have accepted that, but what do we do now? Report princess Lamia for witchcraft?"
"Are you completely out of your mind!? Do you know who princess Lamia is!? If we even let a whisper of such a claim in the air, they'll have our heads!" She gulped.
Owen kitted his brows in fear, hugging himself, "Okay... What do you suggest we do then? Let the lord suffer for a crime he did not really commit?"
Athalia bit her lips in contemplation, narrowing her eyes. She then sighed, "I am not really sure, but I know for sure we just can not go and blunt out what we saw, we have no proof. And besides, even if we did, we are just normal workers of the castle with no meaning in their eyes".
Owen grimaced, looking down in thought. He then smiled, "What if we tell the lord?"
"The lord? Lord Elliot?"
"Yes! He may be executed by tomorrow noon, why don't we meet him before then and tell him what happened?"
Athalia fathomed for a moment, then nodded. "You have a point! He is still a lord after all, he can tell his councilmen the truth we saw and they will probably handle it better then us".
Owen smiled with hope, nodding his head. Something then hit him. "But again, how will we possibly meet him when he is held in the dungeon?"
Athalia chuckled, "Do not worry about that, I know a way we can get in", she nodded proudly.

The next morning back in the Werleria kingdom, Lamia marched through the large corridor, lit by the bright early morning sunlight. She charged briskly to the large door at the far end.
She forcefully pushed the door, causing all the heads of the members in the room to turn. Lyzebel narrowed her eyes at her younger sister.
"Lamia?" She called softly, seated at the head seat of the table where her councilmen sat—six on each side.
Lamia halted, squeezing her fist like a child. She mumbled, pushing out a fake smile, "I need to see you now, my queen". She ignored the council elders in the room, as she had no business to respect them, what so ever; especially after she had slept with almost every single one of them.
Lyzebel glanced at the table then her sister, "Can it not wait—"
"It can not, my queen", she bowed, "It is very very urgent".
Lyzebel glanced at the councilmen, "Gentlemen, excuse me", she got up majestically, bowing subtly.
She then padded to her sister, grabbing her arm forcefully and pulling her alongside.
They strode hurryingly to the queen's bedroom, having Lyzebel push Lamia forward. "Where the f**k did you go to last night?! Do you know how worry sick I was about you?"
Lamia frowned, "I was in Sunndrom carrying out my assignment".
"Oh I see, and how did it go?" She crossed her arns with a frown, ready to hear Lamia's disappointment.
"Princess Amber is dead".
Lyzebel quirked her brows in disbelief, "What?"
"And a verdict for Elliot will be passed on this noon, few hours from now. You're welcome".
Lyzebel blinked her eyes in disbelief, letting out a chuckle, "Woah, you actually did it? I'm amazed".
"Of course I did", Lamia flung her hair with a grin.
"I guess for the first time you proved me wrong and actually carried out a plan successfully. On your own".
Lamia then looked down shamefully, "Well... Y– yes".
Lyzebel narrowed her eyes, "What went wrong?"
"Nothing serious, really. It's just that, I think someone saw us".
"You think? Did they see you with Elliot?"
Lamia cleared her throat, "I presume so... It was actually two people who saw us".
"Two!?"
"Calm down, sister. They were just mere servants. A boy and a girl".
"Well did you kill the mere servants?"
"I did not have chance, the guards were already surrounding the room so—"
"So you let them escape!" Lyzebel snarled.
"Oh calm down, sister. They are just servants, what can they do? No one will obviously listen to their claims—"
"You i***t!" Lyzebel slapped the wall behind her without turning back. "How could you be so clumsy!? You had one assignment! One that you chose! How could you let it slip away".
"But it is only—"
"It does not matter whether they are servants or not, they saw you! They are humans, they can build suspicion amongst the other humans and have them turn against us! Don't you see! And if they do work in the palace, it is possible the royal family may hold some amount of trust in them, meaning their words might actually hold importance. How could you be so daft!"
Lamia bit her lips, looking down.
Lyzebel held her forehead in disappointment. "This is bad. This is really bad. We can not let this escalate further than it already has".
"So what do you suggest we do?" Lamia crooked her head.
"Did you see their faces?"
Lamia shook her head, "They were too far. I only saw the girl has extremely long black hair, and should be able eighteen years of age. With a boy of maybe about twelve? He had brown hair".
Lyzebel sighed deeply, holding her waist. "This is going to be hard..."
Lamia toiled with her fingers, "What do we do?"
Lyzebel then took a deep breath, looking up at Lamia. A smile grew on her lips, "We do what we always do. End them".
