Chapter 5

Gerald’s POV

I selected a faded Jean and a black t-shirt.

I dressed up, picked my car keys, and was about to leave when a knock came to my door.

I opened it and saw it was my guard.

“Good afternoon sir.” He greeted me with a bow.

“What do you want?” I questioned him with anger and I was impatient at the same time.

“Your Father, the Alpha, is seeking your presence.” He said.

“What for?” I threw a question at him.

“I am sorry, Sir, but I don’t know the reason why he is sending for you.” He apologised, and I signalled him to leave.

“Don’t tell me dad really wants to see me now that I am about to go out to meet Emelia.”

“If I tell him that I need to go see my mate, he will tell me that he doesn’t care about any mate.”

I opened the door as I came out and I closed it aggressively.

I went to his room, and I was told by the guards that he was in his study room.

I went to his study room, I knocked and I heard his muscular voice instructing me to come in.

I entered and I saw him sit.

“Take a seat son.” He uttered.

“Don’t worry, I prefer standing up.” I told him, and he nodded his head.

“I will make it snappy, son,”

“The reason why I sent for you is to let you know that someone from Blood Moon Pack is visiting, and I would love you to go along to receive them.” He explained, and I let out a silent scoff.

“I heard the Blood Moon Pack guys say that they were here to find their pack's bravest warrior and Alpha Lucian’s brother Stefan's mate at the meeting.” I snorted inwardly because I had heard of the man.

“He is a cursed man, all those who are close to him die.”

“I am still wondering who will be so unlucky to be his mate. I mocked.

“Alright son, you know them, now you will go pick them up.“ he ordered and I looked at him in disbelief.

“Dad, so you really want me to go there? What if I end up dying like any other person?” I asked him and he couldn’t say anything.

“I can’t go dad and besides I have important things to do such as going on a date.”

“The Blood moon pack has nothing to do with me, the only thing that has something to do with me is my date.” I concluded with a smile on my face.

“Bye dad.” I waved at him and was about to walk back to my room when he stopped me.

“You dare not move an inch, Son.” His authoritative voice blared through my ears and I couldn’t help but shiver a little.

I quickly compose myself.

“Why won’t I leave when I have somewhere important to be..” I replied to him.

“I am your father and I have every right to tell you where to go or not.” He thundered.

“And I have every right to reject the offer of going with you.” I argued.

“Unless you will want to spend the rest of your life as a rogue, just as the cursed Stefan.” He threatened and I looked at him in disbelief.

“What!!!!, are you threatening me?” I stared at him unbelievably.

“You leave me with no option so it’s either you agree to go pick them up or you will become a cursed rogue.” He concluded and I gave him a hateful look.

“The guards are outside waiting for you, they are going with you and I assume you are ready.”

“You have a few hours to go pick them up and come back, Son.” He said as he went back to what he was doing.

I walked out of his office sluggishly, cursing at him silently.

“The car is ready, Sir.” One of the guards spoke and I didn't even bother to reply to him as I hopped inside the car in annoyance.

My plan of going to meet Elizabeth has been shattered by my heartless Dad.

I waved off the painful thought aside as I focused on the car and I ignited the engine.

I drove the car down the winding road, the scenery flashing past my window in a blur.

The engine hummed beneath me, the steady vibration keeping me alert and focused on the task ahead.

As I drove, my thoughts drifted to the meeting or should I say taking them to the pack that would be taking place.

I wondered what the Alpha of the neighbouring pack wanted from us.

Finally, I pulled up to the entrance of the neighbouring pack's home. I stepped out of my car, my gaze scanning the area around me.

It was clear that the Alpha of the neighbouring pack had already arrived, as my guards came out of the car and stood near the entrance.

Taking a deep breath, I collected myself and prepared to meet the Alpha of the neighbouring pack.

After a few hours of exchanging pleasantries which I find so annoying, I finally told them the reason I was there.

They agreed to be aware of it.

Without wasting time, I pointed at the car and they went inside.

“Phew!!!, finally.”

I went back inside my car and ignited the engine as I drove off.

I looked back and realised that they were coming after me.

After driving for what seems like eternity, we finally arrived home.

I got down from my car and walked straight to my room.

I don’t have that time to wait for them to get down from the car and start showing them around.

They will end up delaying my date with Melisa.

The guards are going to help them figure out their way here and beside them they aren’t here for me.

They are here for my so-called father and I can’t let those cursed people touch me too much.

I rushed to my room and quickly took off my clothes and I began dressing up for my date.

I looked at myself in the mirror and surveyed my reflection.

I have to look just right for my date, so I couldn't afford to make any mistakes.

I ran my fingers through my hair to make sure it was perfectly coiffed before picking out a crisp white shirt to wear.

As I put it on, I admired how the fabric felt against my skin.

Next, I went to my closet and carefully chose a pair of dark navy slacks to match the shirt.

He took my time to get the fit just right and made sure my belt was properly secured.

To complete my look, I put on my favourite black shoes and gave them a quick shine.

Finally, I was ready.

I looked at my reflection in the eye and gave myself a nod of approval.

I was about to go pick up my phone and dial Melisa's number when I immediately heard a sound.

I received a knock on the door and I quickly rushed to check who it was.

“Lo and behold, it was Melisa.!!!”

“My date is finally here!!!”

“My dream is gradually coming to pass!!” I smirked.

I opened the door like a gentleman as I urged her to go in.

“Come in beauty.” I ushered her in with a smile.

Immediately she got in, I quickly locked the door and rushed to where she was.

I wasn’t patient as I began kissing her and I couldn't wait to undress her.

I was about to take off her clothes when she stopped me.

“Before we continue, can you please help me with a favour?”

“I promise to make it up to you by allowing you to have your way with me today.” She pleaded
