My mood hadn't improved by the time I reach Crouch End, in fact it has darkened so much that I feel like one of those cartoon characters that acquires their own personal little thundercloud which follows them around everywhere, raining bolts of lightning down onto the top of their head. Already feeling rattled by unwanted thoughts of Brett possibly wanting to use me as a metaphorical club to bash Damon over the head with, Jane unwittingly added to my irritation when she informed me that there is in fact no underground station at Crouch End.
