Steve had always been a naturally early riser. It was more odd to find him asleep at ten o’clock than it was to see him awake at six thirty, it’s just how he was. His ma had always called him her sunny boy, saying that the sun directly gave him the energy to rise and fall but he was a bit too old now and the nickname was just downright ridiculous. In truth, he had always loved the serenity in being awake before everyone else.
