Melvin exhaled.
It was as if he was put in someone's else memories, he could see his father and some other people there but they couldn't see him. He noticed that his father was several years younger, almost his age. They had all gathered in the palace as though waiting for some event.
Melvin saw as a young Ralph walked past him and was heading directly to his father who was talking with other youths in the large palace center. Melvin felt dread develop in his heart, he had seen Ralph, the alpha of the Black X Pack once some years ago and he could still see that some of his features were still present in his younger self.
Melvin ran last Ralph and tried to touch his father to alert him that Ralph was coming but the moment he touched him, his hand went through his father.
