"Then so be it, you death is inevitable," the monster said and charged. it came a few steps away from Melvin and drew its long claw and almost slashed Melvin when it stopped in its track. It took many years of experience and training for it to pull that move. It had detected a slight unnatural change in luminosity and it dodged the arrow of light that had aimed for its skull. The arrow breezed past and crashed into a nearby tree which completely separated the trunk from the tree as it got cut into two. Melvin looked behind him and saw that a witch dressed in the crescent pack's native white and gold clothing.
"Master Melvin, your father said I should keep a close eye on you, you look quite battered," the witch said. Melvin couldn't see her face because the moon was behind her.
