The expenses of running the shiny black limousines were considerable, and when the wages of the chauffeur was added in, and of course the high cost of the two girls required for each trip, well, it came to a tidy sum; still, expense was simply not an issue for Claire’s exclusive clientele. They were wealthy men (along with a sprinkling of discriminating women), who long ago had ceased to concern themselves with the cost of what they had grown to regard as their due — a right to the absolutely finest service available. In the end those costs, along with a generous gratuity, would show up on the client’s credit card bill — simply another in a considerable list of line items, this one discreetly payable to “C.A. Enterprises.”
