Chapter Eighteen – Terrible
Maybell clutched at her lower back as she shifted far too fast in the bed. Everything lower than her breasts hurt constantly. An irritating tingly, sharp, thrum of pain in her core that she could not escape or ignore no matter how much she wanted to too.
She was actually starting to become quite annoyed….and the catheter inside of her wasn’t helping matters in the least.
Maybells mother had finally been convinced that Maybell would survive without her for a few hours and had departed to work early the previous day with promises that she would come to visit her every other day until Maybell was released from the Hospital in another five days.
