Isiah exited the front of the building after gathering the package he needed from the mail room. The receptionist noticed him leaving but he didn’t stop to make conversation and quickly departed.
His mind a dark storm full of conviction and hatred.
A small part of him regretted leaving Maybell so distraught and upset on the other side of the phone, but he knew that she was safest away from him. She wanted him, but she could never truly forgive what he had done. And he couldn’t change what had happened but he was going to burn everything until the men responsible for her tears and sorrow knew their lives were over. Just as his and Maybells lives together had been taken from them.
