Chapter Thirteen– Wrath When Isiah stepped into the room the first and only thing he had eyes for was the woman lying calmly in the bed. Maybells hazel colored skin was somewhat dulled, no doubt from from blood loss, and her expression seemed mildly filled with discomfort as she laid eyes closed. She had a few dozen wires attached to her body at various different points and six different monitors hanging over her head keeping track of blood, sugar, pain and temp. The sight of her in that bed….was perhaps the worse thing he had seen since she had been taken away in the ambulance. To once more be reminded that this was what he had caused.
