(Veronica POV)
When I opened my eyes . I saw Adrian sitting on a chair beside me, holding my hand in between both his hands and chanting something. I furrowed my brows to understand what he was saying or reading but his words seemed so foreign to me.
"Adrian, what are you doing?" I asked and he opened his eyes and I saw a reflection of red color and he closed his eyes for a second or two and then opened again and they are of his usual color.
I closed my eyes and opened it again and thank god all things are the same. I think all these things are the result of my overthinking nothing else. I pushed these thoughts at the back of my mind and asked Adrian about Lily and William.
