I feel like a princess today, after all, it's my 16th birthday and I can finally meet with my wolf today and will experience my first shift o, my god!!! I can’t wait for tonight. I prepared all my things for tonight. After all, Caleb will also turn 18 today and because he is the son of an alpha, there will be special arrangements for his crowning ceremony when he will take charge of the White Moon Pack. “Please moon goddess, you know that I like him very much” so, please mate him with me please, please !!!!

"Ahmm ahmm by judging your dreamy look I can guess you are dreaming about alpha Caleb," Rory said.

By listening to her words, I almost jumped out of my skin. 

"What the hell Rory!!! I can bet I have a minor heart attack just now, Phew! I thought you were someone else," My hands still pressing on my chest to normalize my breathing.

"Hmm, So you are expecting someone else instead of me,” Rory inquired by crossing her arms on her chest. 

I wish I could have Caleb in your place, but right now! I cannot voice out my thoughts, so I kept my mouth shut.

“I think you are here to help me out,” I reminded her. Her beauty skills are just more than awesome and which can be a more perfect occasion other than this to utilize her skills. Although Rory and I met just 2 years ago, we both clicked at the same time when I saw her because she is a transfer student and from there the journey of our beautiful friendship starts.

We hang out all day and don't bother to train because we always remain busy with playing pranks with others that we can't get time to train. I have three protective brothers and a father who is a beta of our pack. I don't need to waste time in training because I know they can protect me with their lives.

Being the daughter of beta and future sister of beta gave me perks that others can’t enjoy. My father is the strongest beta, and he is planning to pass this position to my elder brother, Steven. In siblings, Steven is on the first number and me on the second, and then comes my younger two brothers Luca and Mica they are twins and my biggest rivals. Although they are younger, they act like elders in my case and I love their protective side but sometimes I just want some privacy.

I am head to toe ready, but still nervous for tonight’s party. It is so unlike me because I am always the confident type, not the shy or timid type but somehow my gut feeling told me that something is going to be wrong but what? I can't put my finger on it.

I took a deep breath and entered the Packhouse where “Alpha Jackson and Luna Amanda” welcomes us. The whole Packhouse was decorated with the gold and green colors which are our pack colors. Everybody is present on this occasion, some look sophisticated and some are looking so extravagant that I cringe at them. I choose a Green and gold princess dress with a sweetheart neckline decorated with gold-colored stones which gave me more beautiful to look. I tied my hairs in a messy bun and applied little makeup with shimmery gold eye shadow which gives me natural look and tinted my cheeks and lips with pink tint but Rory chose a blue and black Floor length dress and wear red lipstick and a bit more makeup with her high heels and looking quite outstanding.

"Ahm…Ahm...looking for someone, Rory?” I asked her but I know that she is looking for my big brother. 

"By the way, Steven is with Luca at the buffet corner,” I informed her with a cheesy smile and she looked at me with a shy smile and headed towards the buffet corner.

"Where is Caleb? I haven’t seen him in the last two hours and I searched the whole Packhouse twice," I asked from myself,"

 “He is outside to pick his friend from the airport, just wait a few more minutes, and then he will be here, “Luna said in my ear and I was blushing like a tomato, I gave her a shy smile. 

“I also want you as my daughter-in-law,” She said with a beautiful smile and I gave her a full-blown smile. I know that they all know about my liking toward Alpha Caleb but didn’t mention it before today. 

Soon, the main door opened and Alpha Caleb entered. In his black tux, he is really looking like a prince, he introduces his friends to everyone and then comes towards me. My heartbeat started racing “You are looking really beautiful today “he commented in a bit slow voice and I blushed at his comment.

I gathered up my courage and said, “You are also looking handsome, Alpha” He winked towards me as an answer and then strides towards Luna and Alpha.

Soon the clock strikes 12 and many pups start shifting because the first shift is very painful. The whole Packhouse was filled with howls and growls and I also sat on the Floor and started waiting for my first shift. 

Immediately, I started feeling so much energy and ache in my body, which increases with every passing second, and then it all disappears and my shift never comes. I stood up from my place and looked towards my parents. They both have apologetic looks on their faces and when I look toward Caleb, He shook his head in a slightly disappointed manner. 

But “what the f**k which I feel seconds ago” if I have no wolf. Alpha Caleb took long strides towards me and unexpectedly said, “Mate “his eyes are almost black with a hint of the natural blue color of his eyes. I thanked the moon goddess in my heart that she mated him with me.

 “It doesn’t matter that I have wolf or left wolf less as long as I am with the love of my life,” I said in my heart and looked towards my mate but the look on Alpha Caleb's face confuses me because I know that he also loves me.

Then he said the words which shattered me and my heart in to million pieces. 

"I, Alpha Caleb Jackson, Future Alpha of White Moon Pack, reject Veronica smith as my mate and As Luna of  The White moon pack” As soon as he finished those words, I felt an excruciating pain in my heart and for one second I thought, I would be dead because of this much pain but with the little willpower and self-respect which was left in my body, I said “I accept your rejection” and with this, I blacked out.
