I glance over and smirk when I see that Ivy is fast asleep. You’d never think that she was taken from her office only twelve hours ago by how peaceful she looks. We were extremely fortunate that Connor uncovered the connection to the cult, and Galen was willing to help me. I don’t know what I would have done if I hadn’t found her.
It’s after two in the morning, and I’m beyond exhausted. Still worried for Ivy, I opt to take her to my apartment instead of hers.
