“You called us fake. You said you’re glad Caesaro is dead, and that would teach Emeliana about not always being in control.” Cartelli then recalls what Amethyst has told them, and that’s when it all comes rushing back to her, making her gulp inaudibly. Unfortunately, that’s not enough for her to take back her words. She said what she said, and now she has to deal with the consequences. “I’m sorry… I’m sorry about that too…” Amethyst shakes her head, and none of them can tell if she’s being sincere or not. “Are you? How are we supposed to believe you, Amethyst? How?" Emeliana questions her, shaking her head as well. “It… it was the spur of the moment…” Amethyst starts, but Emeliana cuts her off. “This isn’t a f*cking fairytale, Amethyst. It’s real life. Life… and death…” Emeliana answers firmly. “I made a huge mistake…” Amethyst pleads, nervously glancing at Cartelli as well. “After Demetrio and I...-” Amethyst pauses as she glances in the direction of her ex-boyfriend. “I started abusing drugs, and Aurelio approached me, offered me an unlimited fix. He got into my head and convinced me to turn on you…” Amethyst opens up. “So you turned on us for a fix?” Emeliana raises an eyebrow. “I’m trying to get clean again… It’s difficult, but I’m trying…” Amethyst continues. “None of this excuses what I’ve done, and I don’t expect you to forgive me at all. I just hope you can see that I’m trying to help…” Amethyst carries on before turning to Cartelli, who still has his gun pointed at her. "You can kill me right now, but that's not going to save Emelio and Franky. They're in danger as long as they're with Bonavelli, and you need to be the one to save them..." Amethyst gives one defence as to why they should keep her alive. Cartelli takes a second, exhaling deeply as he contemplates everything Amethyst has just said to him, and finally, after long deliberation, he finally lowers his gun. Amethyst breathes a sigh of relief, grateful that they've chosen to spare her life. Emeliana, however, eyes Cartelli with a mix of scepticism and gratitude, realising that they might need Amethyst alive to find her missing brothers after all… “Are you certain Emelio and Franky are there…?” Emeliana questions, her gaze fixed on Amethyst. “That’s what I heard… they have to be…” Amethyst answers, still trying to keep her heart from racing so fast after having a gun pointed right at her. Emeliana then exhales slowly before he turns his attention to Luca who had been silent this entire time, finding him standing with his arms crossed, carefully analysing the situation as it unfolds in front of him. “What’re you thinking…?” Emeliana asks him and Luca, keeping his eyes fixated on Amethyst lets out a slow exhale through his nostrils and finally turns to look at Emeliana. “If we do go there… we have to be smart…” Is all he says to her and she nods in agreement before turning back to Amethyst, knowing exactly what she wants to say to her next. “See if you can get confirmation about them actually being there. We can’t risk our lives for a potential trap.” Emeliana makes it clear that she won’t believe what Amethyst is saying without further confirmation. Amethyst, feeling the weight of their doubts, frowns back at Emeliana and shakes her head slightly, uncertain of how exactly she is supposed to do as Emeliana has said. “How am I supposed to do that without them finding out I’m helping you…?” Amethyst questions and Emeliana begins to walk to her carefully and slowly, and the closer Emeliana gets to Amethyst, the faster her heart begins to race again… “You’ll figure it out. Take it as one way for you to prove to us that you actually want to help…” Emeliana says to Amethyst, being slightly taller than Amethyst, all thanks to the heels Emeliana is wearing. “Don’t make me regret not killing you for what you’ve done,” warns Emeliana as she stares Amethyst dead in the eye, letting her understand what’s at stake here and she is no longer the person to mess with. “I won’t.” Amethyst answers, trying to keep her composure but the reality is she is terrified. This is no longer the person she once called her friend, and Amethyst is afraid she’s had a part to play in the person Emeliana has now become… “Good,” Is all Emeliana answers and with that, she walks right past Amethyst and begins to leave the building, making her bodyguards follow suit. “How am I supposed to get back…?” Amethyst's voice trails off, uncertain of what exactly Emeliana wants her to do. She was brought here and she frankly doesn’t even know where she is or how to get back to Aurelio’s. “That’s not my problem…” Emeliana answers her as she continues to walk away. Mattia is the first to leave after Emeliana, only staring at Amethyst for a few seconds before he continues walking forward. The two of them had no personal relationship, so he doesn’t have anything to really say to her. Next to leave are Luca and Adriano, both of them sharing the same sentiments as majority of the group. They blame her for what happened to Cartelli and for aiding Celestia’s escape. The Genovese brothers are silent as they walk past her, and Amethyst fails to look either of them in the eye, keeping her gaze down on the ground as she shyly glances back at them just as they finally walk away from her. Next to leave is Cartelli, and it’s already clear how he feels about her. He’s almost shot her twice, and she should be glad that he made the decision not to kill her on his own. He wants to see if her information on Emeliana’s brothers is viable. If not, then her fate is already sealed. Cartelli doesn’t even look Amethyst in the eye, completely disgusted by her and instead continues to walk out of the building, facing forward completely. Demetrio is the last person to leave. He remains standing in his spot for a few seconds before his feet finally carry him forward and he is making his way towards Amethyst. Once he reaches her he stands right across from her, and it’s like all her emotions come rushing back, everything that’s happened between them, how they fell apart, everything before, after and in between. It makes her emotional to face him again, because she knows how much differently he looks at her now. And she knows it’s her fault… “Demetrio I…” Amethyst attempts to say to him and before she can say anymore, Demetrio speaks up before she can. “I hope for your sake what you’ve told us is true, Amethyst…” Is all Demetrio says to her, still standing close to her for a few seconds before he finally decides to walk away from her. “Demetrio…” She tries to tell him, her eyes following his every move even as he walks away, up until he turns his back on her completely. Amethyst is left alone, the weight of her past decisions hanging in the air as she contemplates the uncertain path that lies ahead. She sucks in a deep breath and tries to figure out where to go from here, and what exactly it is that she’s going to do to get more information out of Aurelio.
