LUKE Kat stands on the front porch and jumps every time the thunder sounds off in the sky. "Watch," I tell her when a bolt of lightning lights up the sky. "Now the thunder will come," I tell her, trying to help her anticipate the loud noises. Standing behind her, I wrap my arms around her carefully but tightly.
