"We're here!" Lila excitedly drummed on the side of the carriage. She grabbed Diana's wrist and threw the door open, "let's go!" Diana laughed as she was yoinked out of the carriage.
"Lila be careful!" Merea called out.
"We will!" Lila squeezed Diana's hand, raising it for her mom to see, as if promising to heed her mother's words.
Merea huffed a smile as they disappeared into the crowd. Lila's laughter danced through the crowded streets of the mer capital, her hand firmly clasped around Diana's as she guided her through the bustling throngs of finfolk. Diana's eyes widened in wonder as she took in the vibrant scene.
